Perfect Replacement
After years of use I finally knocked my white ceramic V60 on the floor, breaking off a piece of it. Though still usable I decided to replace it with the klutz-proof plastic model. It works perfectly. Coffee is as perfect as ever. Love the deep red color and the fact that it was made in Japan. My muscle memory is still adjusting to the lighter weight.

Durable plastic , Excellent Coffee Dripper
I can't give it 6 stars . The plastic coffee dripper is made in Japan. Excellent durable finish, instructions in Japanese. As a bonus it comes with a white plastic scoop, and 40 paper filters. Very happy 🤗🤗🤗

Best coffee ever
I'm the only coffee drinker in my family. This thing is perfect. No waste. Cheap. Takes up very little space. Makes great coffee. It takes a little longer than using a machine, but the coffee is better and it comes out hotter than any coffee maker I've ever owned. Sometimes simpler is better.

Portable and Practical
Size 02 is exactly the size for my usage: big enough to put over a small carafe to make coffee for two, small enough opening to go over my 3 c. thermos, still works to make a single cup in the afternoon or for dessert, and wide enough for my jumbo 18 oz workday morning cup. It is the happy medium. This isn't my first pourover: my first is a reusable mesh, which took a little upkeep to keep the pores clear but was easy enough to clean out with a garbage disposal. But getting to clean it out was a pain on deployment, having to find somewhere to dump the grounds and so on and so on. I went to the bother of lugging a kettle with me all around the world, because I owned the electrical gear so even if the cooks couldn't heat water, I happened to be able to plug an electric kettle in. I switched to a camping french press, because that was easier to pack and move if it was still dirty. On my next deployment, one of the other guys brought his Hario, and then I saw him pitch the highly biodegradable paper and grounds, and I realized using the paper wasn't going to be the end of the Amazon rainforest. This brews faster. It's more consistent. The plastic can get scratched, unlike the glass, but if it should ever break, I won't have glass all in my clothes. A lot of the world separates compost (including now parts of the US), so clean up is easy. Did you know roaches and ants don't like coffee grounds? Fringe benefits! And you don't have to buy the Hario brand filters! Just buy the #4 cone from your favorite brand and fold the corner to make a sharp point. Make sure, if you fold it near the crimp, that you don't rip a hole by mistake, and boom, you're in business. If you leave it flattened, it will rip. With folding, I've had a few grounds all of twice in the last few years, between the other guy's Hario and when I bought this one. Love this product! It's the only thing I use now.

Great V60!
Can’t go wrong with a Harrio! Even though it’s made of plastic, you can tell that it is quality made! Simple yet makes great coffee! Plus, I like the idea of making a single cup of coffee in the coffee cup instead of having to decant it.

V60 is the best for brewing coffee and beginners into pour over
Obviously, the V60 is blowing up right now. Coffee is heading more towards a slower and more methodical way of brewing. The Hario V60 pour over method is arguably the best place to start if you are wanting to get into pour over coffee. You will need to buy cone filters, I recommend the Hario brand V60 filters (ASIN B001O0R46I) as they fit the best and are high quality. You may also want to consider getting the Hario Gooseneck Kettle (ASIN B000IGOXLS). With these items, along with the cone you are set and well on your way to a full pour over set. Those looking for a quick cup of coffee to program the night before should stray from this product. I have to budget an extra 10 minutes every morning to brew my pour over right. For me, it's worthy it, as a coffee on the V60 is better than any drip coffee. This is a great product that works well. I bought the plastic one because I was afraid the ceramic would break certainly, turns out the plastic one does too, so don't drop it! Love Hario and the V60.

Great for pour-over coffee
Works very well for making pour-over brewed coffee at home. If you have your parameters dialed in appropriately (brew ratio, grind size, water) this delivers a nicely balanced cup of coffee that is more clear and focused in its flavor than one normally gets with an automatic drip machine, yet still having complexity. A simple device, carefully designed to make good coffee. Seems like the details are well thought out. Great for using every day. Cleans up easily. And it's nice that the filter papers are not great big things (like with a Chemex). You can experiment with fine-tuning the details of your coffee recipe to get it just how you prefer it. Using this well, however, does take a certain willingness and a desire to really be hands-on with the process. This is a very manual way, to brew coffee. If you don't want to be physically involved with every aspect of the brewing process, you might prefer a different method. But for those who like to be in control of every nuance, and like to experiment, the V60 is great. (I recommend the plastic version, because it doesn't draw as much heat out of the water during brewing as other materials do).

My go to. Can’t recommend it enough.
This is my go to pour over dripper. Love the ease of use , design and the price. Would definitely recommend the plastic one as it has the best heat retention. Would also recommend size 2 as it is perfect for brewing large batch or just a simple one cup as well. Highly durable and I have gotten a lot of use out of it. Super easy to clean and store away. Can’t recommend it enough.

We are in the process of setting up a new home and wanted to find an alternative to a large and expensive coffee machine. I knew of the individual cup filter dripper option so we decided to give this Hario V60 (size 2) japanese product a go. I didn't know about this particular brand but the product stood out in the Amazon listing and it came with a matching design (red colour) measuring cup. For the price, it already seemed a good deal. I don't know how to explain it, but using it feels like the filter dripper has decades of thought, design and quality control gone into it. With all the challenges we are facing, it is a pleasure to take a break and use this product because it feels like it has been made with so much caring thought. The dripper sat sturdy on a wide mug. No adjusting needed. I even wondered how much difference the ceramic dripper would make. The plastic one has a heavy feel. The size 2 paper filter fitted the dripper like a glove in a millisecond. It stood against the sides without needing any adjusting. In seconds, I had a creamy looking filter coffee that tasted delicious. The water pour kind of vortexed quickly into the cup without lumping the coffee into "unused coffee islands". The resulting coffee was clear and very strong (just half of the measuring cup for 2 medium mugs). This was the strongest I have ever had with the same coffee brand and filtered, boiled water. Brand new coffee bag. It was very easy to clean and feels like it won't easily scratch or stain at all. I washed it with the soft sponge side but might just use a water rinse in future. Not sure it needs dish soap. The only "challenge" was getting the coffee into the measuring cup, but we have somewhere a glass, sealed lid container with a wide opening to scoop the coffee from, which will be perfect for it. For the price, it is a bargain in my experience: it saves space, makes filter coffee as easy to prepare as instant but a lot more flavoursome and with the true oumph we look for in our daily brew-break. Its quality brings comfort and positivity. It makes you want to care about making the most and the best of the day. Lovely product.
