Pond skimmer

Works good but could be improved
Good flapper, works as advertised and keeps the pond surface clean of debris. The filter "basket" performs poorly and needs redesigned. Clean out is messy and incomplete. The included top is a flimsy piece of plastic that is ugly and doesn't fit well. I built a replacement top that improved the aesthetic immensely. There is no separation between the intake chamber and the filtered pump chamber aside from the misshapen filter screen. A few design changes could greatly improve this box and even though it is expensive, it's a more affordable option than the crazy overpriced skimmers available elsewhere. I guess the expensive part is the flapper and the sealing interface where the box connects to the liner.

I ordered this skimmer for a duck pond. This thing works really well. Ducks are gross and this does an excellent job of cleaning the pond. Easy to install, Easy to clean

Cheap plastics. Spend a little more and get a savio skimmer
