1.25-Liter Electric Kettle

There are many options at 1/4 the price, but to me, this one is worth the extra money. Very efficient: I usually boil just enough for a cup of tea, which it does in barely 2 minutes. It is stylish, very well made. Looks great in the kitchen. From the photo, you might think the handle would get hot when in use, but it does not. Stays perfectly cool. If you use it enough to justify it, spend the extra bucks and get a quality product.

This is a great kettle that I purchased to match other Kitchenaid products on my counters. It heats water quickly and to a good boil. Very straightforward and easy to use with no bells and whistles. The only negative is the handle doesn’t move out of the way for filling at the sink so it’s easy to spill water around the opening if you’re not careful. Other than that it’s perfect.

It is very decorative. Easy to use.

I love my KitchenAid electric kettle. It works perfectly and dependable in every sense of the word. I could image my life without this appliance. It compliments all of my pother KitchenAid appliances. Highly recommend it for those who want a worry free experience and durable countertop hot water electric kettle!

Sadly, as of Jan. 2024, there is plastic in the inside of the lid and inside the kettle itself. It was difficult, when researching this kettle, to discern whether there is plastic inside it. From what I was able to gather from the company product info, the only plastic inside the kettle is the removable filter in the spout. Not so. There are in total three, nonremovable plastic parts inside the kettle. The interior of the lid uses two plastic parts, which serve as the nuts for the handle of the lid to screw into (see photo). These parts will come into contact with steam. You could maybe find food grade stainless steel nuts to replace them??? And it is true that the plastic filter is removable from inside the kettle; however, the bracket that holds the removable filter in place inside the kettle is a large, black hard plastic piece (see photo). It's possible that this piece can be removed without doing damage to the interior of the kettle. I didn't try. I didn't want to risk damaging the kettle since I am returning it. Disappointing. I had high hopes for this kettle. It seems that KitchenAid, knowing that plenty of consumers are concerned about the health hazards of plastics that contact food, might have have made a few adjustments, substituting these plastic parts with food grade stainless steel, to guarantee that this product is as safe as it can be for the people who use it.

This is a great tea kettle or whatever you want to call it. I use it for getting water hot for coffee. I'm really enjoying how quickly it heats up. I like the auto shut off. There does not appear to be any leakage, and pouring the water is easy. The only negatives I can come up with (and why I deducted one star) are the fact that the indicator for how much water to put into it (maximum amount) is not very visible, nor are the lines to indicate how much water is in there or that you want to have in there. So I just figured it out by pouring it into a really huge measuring cup, that it takes six cups of water max. Was that indicated in the advertising or the literature? I have no idea. I use it mostly for a French press for coffee or a pour over one/two cup coffee maker. I don't find it difficult getting water from the tap into the kettle because I have a curved spout on my sink for my filtered water so it's not an issue for me. I saw this same kettle at my daughter's house when I was visiting (And why I purchased it cuz I really liked it there) and the configuration for them was a little harder to get the water into it. I'm very satisfied with this kettle. I've had it a little over a month and I use it almost every day. I will edit this down the road if necessary.

I hate shopping for kettles. Most of them either look cheap or overly bulky. This one is neither. The design is modern and clean, simple in the best way. The brushed stainless steel gives it a durable, high-quality feel, which I really appreciate since so many kettles now are mostly plastic. This one feels solid and built to last. It heats quickly, pours well, and just does what it’s supposed to do without any fuss. Bonus: it looks great sitting on the counter. We liked it enough that we ended up buying the matching toaster too. If you care about function and how your kitchen looks, this is a great choice.

I've owned at least a dozen electric kettles over the past 3 decades, this one is the best of all of them by a very long margin. It looks as good today as the day I bought it, works perfectly every time. Build quality is very high, it is alos by far the easiest to clean. Very highly recommended.
