Ugly's Reference is a MUST-HAVE for anyone in the electrical industry.
If you are an Electrician, Electrical engineer, if you perform Plant Maintenance, if you install new equipment, overhaul old equipment, or if you do ANYTHING that involved electrical energy, you need to have a copy of this book in your possession. The charts, tables, illustrations and examples in this booklet are so vital to the electrical world, that this should be a mandatory purchase for anyone that works on wires, period. What more can be said? Not only does this book have all the latest requirements of the NEC, but it also contains hugely valuable conversion tables, info on First Aid, pulleys, Pipe bending, fractions, equations, and basic safety requirements. I have always had an Ugly's book in my toolbag. Invariably, it gets used so much, that the pages are worn, dog-eared, and dirty that when the next edition comes out, I'm first in line to buy it.

Great book!
Fantastic reference guide. I bought this for work as a reference (I work on overhead industrial cranes), and it helped with lining out new jobs and choosing the correct materials to working up quotes. Every electrician, whether industrial, commercial, or residential, should have this book. Will be buying the more updated version soon at NEC changed a lot of code and recommended practices over the past few years.

Used it for the PE Exam
I bought this book as a reference for my PE exam as recommended by many engineers. At first I didn't see much of a use for it since it seemed like every other book was so much more comprehensive than this little thing. I just realized I wasn't using it correctly. While this book does not have EVERYTHING you need but just the most important things that you will commonly need in real applications as well as on the exam. There are the conductor and impedance tables etc that you will find in the NEC book that makes it easier to reference as well due to its size. You will also find how to determine HP or torque or some other value by looking at the simplified given equations. They even have an example problem in there to show how its done. I would recommend this to anyone taking the PE as there are lots of useful things in here that I never thought I would need (especially since I didn't study for it). What makes this book much more useful is to tab the useful sections before hand for quick access.

super electrical references book.
Ugly's Electrical References" is a great reference. As an electrical engineer at a plant, I often need to go through the various conduit tables. It includes various subjects from 3-phase AC motor wiring configurations, all the way to how to find the voltage in a circuit. It includes many important tables that any electrical engineer or electrician would need. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a small, cheap, and useful version of the NEC and more

Excellent pocket reference
I supply these books to Journeyman Linemen who want to learn a bit more about electrical theory, and to prepare for advanced exams. If a person knows the first twenty or so pages by heart, then they will be able to understand and analyze just about anything that may crop up in the field relating to power circuit issues! A must have for any Journeyman Lineman!

The Best for Quick Knowledge.
I work in the failure analysis arena, sometimes you just can't keep certain things in your head. This little book has saved me meany times. I also use the "other" reference book but this one is more specific to electrical, it even has a few pages on first aid. A good section to review since once in awhile since I'm also a Frist Responder. There's a lot of good information packed in this little book.
