when the rechargeable battery dies can i use the standard 123 batteries

I don’t know why you’d ever want to put plain batteries in this flashlight instead of just replacing the rechargeable battery when it expires but considering that since I have both this flashlight and the non-rechargeable version, the case of the rechargeable flashlight is quite a bit longer than the other one so you’d prolly have to do some serious modifications to get the tail cap to make contact with the batteries but then again since the rechargeable battery goes in “-“ first, the standard CR123 batteries won’t even make contact with the electrode near the LED end of the flashlight because it’s made for the little knub like on a regular battery and since the polarities are opposite, it might not work. That, and the rechargeable battery is puttin’ out 7.5 volts- a volt and a half more than what the CR123’s put out(they’re 3 volts each) so the brightness will probably be greatly reduced since the bulb in the rechargeable flashlight is made for more voltage.

It is 671 Lumens. The 543 Lumens in one of the pictures is probably the older version.
