I bought this to fasten a heating lamp for my garage. I can articulate it to point the lamp wherever I am working and it holds its weight just fine.

I would liked to have given this a 5 star review. It was close and with some small manufacturer improvements it would get there. The price is very good. The bracket rotates in 2 dimensions and makes aiming the camera much easier that just relying on the adjustments on the camera itself. I purchased two of these for two bullet cameras with a typical ~3" base. The problem is the base on this swing mount is 2" x 3", which is not really compatible with the typical 3-hole drilling on a round base. There are a number of ways to adapt a camera to this base, but I settled on making an adapter from a 3/4" thick piece of hardwood. I could have shaped a new base from 1/8" thick sheet aluminum, but the wood was quicker and easier. I used stainless steel wood screws to fasten the wood adapter to the swing arm base and the camera, so it works well. (I will put some wood preservative on the base before mounting it outside.) It would have been so easy for the manufacturer to make a 3" x 3" base and this would have all been unnecessary. A couple of other small points. Most of the swing arm bracket is painted aluminum which will work fine. However, the camera base part is thin steel. Not sure how well it will hold up. The fasteners supplied with this are ordinary cadmium plated steel rather than stainless steel. Attached are a couple of pictures showing the wood adapter piece.

I’ve had it outside for almost a year (supporting a small solar panel). No problems with corrosion. No problems with wind/severe weather.

This is the fourth time buying this handle for installing outdoor cameras. Very beautiful handle, it can swivel in different angles and directions thus helps to position the camera in any direction that you need. The main handle can be fixed upwards, downwards, or in any direction that you need for your camera positioning. Also fixing is very simple, just with three screws only. The handle is made of Aluminum, with light weight however, it is durable enough for such role. With this price, it is reasonable and highly recommended for Cameras supports or any operation like that.

Love this product. Great value. Very functional and well engineered. Liked it because camera can be mounted away from the mounting surface. Turns 360 degrees and camera can be tilted about 180 degrees. Trough hides wire. Metal painted finished slightly dinged, but I touched up with clear nail polish. Had to build adapter to mount my camera as mount only has 2 holes and they didn’t match my camera. Made adapter out of some aluminum sheet metal that I cut round with tin snips.

Heavy duty my foot, ... If you are installing it outside, please remember the camera wire will be exposed to weather.. so better use wire jacket too..
