Optifoam Gentle Silicone-Faced Bordered Foam Dressings, 4" x 4", 10 Count

I bought this as it fell in line with what the hospital sent my mother home. She received pressure sores from her time in the hospital recently. At 91 years of age, she is very thin, so from lying in bed so much of the day received pressure sores, these bandages help cushion the sores preventing them from increasing and helped with their healing. The adhesive hold very well and if the bandage has been on for about 2 days, does not get gummy which helped when removing it as her thin skin tears easily. As long as the contact with the skin is good, the bandage is waterproof which helps as these bandages are pricey. I would recommend them bandages to anyone that needs cushioning for the wound.

Used to treat a large foot wound with extensive drainage. This was the only bandage that worked and it worked beautifully. The adhesive margin is large so provides excellent holding and water resistance. The cushion is very thick in addition to being super absorbent so is provides cushioning protection as well. Not cheap but exactly the right and best product when you have a large weepy wound to care for.

I am at the age where my arms have occassional wounds, scrapes from wall corners, etc. These bandages are water and shower resistant and will not bleed thru. A great bandage.

This bandage goes on well without pinching or wrinkling like some bandaids, covers well, gives some "cushion", doesn't hurt when removed..works well all around

These bandages are amazing. We use them on wounds that could turn into pressure sores. Theykeep wounds sealed and dry throughout the day and have prevented us from having to gwt advanced medical care. We have purchased them multiple times and keep them om hand. The biggest downfall is that they are so expensive. They average to about $4 a bandage and that is not accessible for everyone who could use them.

Unfortunately, pressure sores often take a long time to heal. We are using a lot of these. They adhere nicely in a difficult area, but release from her without skin damage if I am gentle. The dressing is soft and adds a bit of cushion to the area. I can an also pack with a bit of gauze to absorb leakage. Simply, they are working great for our needs.

As the location I need them for the top of the bandage comes loose but it is on the back of my ankle moves a lot when I walk. A tad too expensive.
