Madame X: Deluxe Bonus

Madame X is going to take you out for a ride. The album in a whole brings you back memories of great times and at the same time, it pushes you forward into a place you’re not expecting to go. It’s a great album to listen to as a musical journey. But if you decide to pick it apart, there are a few showstopper tunes that will certainly surprise you. The Limited Edition Box, comes packed with delightful surprises. The vinyl and cassette are an awesome addition to your collection. Plus you get to have the album in deluxe edition with another extra set of songs that only compliment the experience.

This is definitely worth the purchase. It’s a beautiful collectors item of a brilliant album that isn’t your run of the mill pop music. For acquired tastes only.

Amazing boxset with de deluxe double album . For me the highlight is the cassette and i rise picture disc. Every fan must have it!

Dell'album in vinile ho scritto una recensione, per cui per questo cofanetto mi limito a parlare del contenuto, l'ho comprato per questo. La cassetta si sente molto bene nel mio impianto, a parte il rumore di fondo tipico del nastro devo dire che è bello ascoltare l'album su questo supporto. La qualità audio del CD non ha bisogno di commenti, la cosa bella è il libretto con foto di Madonna vestita a seconda delle sue trasformazioni da agente segreto. E' presente un poster 32 x 32 cm con una foto per lato e un foglietto con dei tatuaggi lavabili con l'acqua (questi li potevano evitare ...). Il 45 giri picture disc è carino, ma su di tutto per me la cassetta audio e il libretto con i due CD per i 18 brani (15 sul primo CD e 3 sul secondo), sono il valore aggiunto a questo cofanetto.

Zunächst zum Äußeren: Die Box kommt gut verpackt an. Beinhaltet ist Madame X als MC in der Standartversion mit 13 Songs, die Deluxe CD als Hardcover-"Buch", die Single "Rise" als Picture-Vinyl, ein Poster und noch "Tattoos". Alles in allem also einiges, wovon man gerne die Tattoos und das Poster hätte weglassen können. Die Box an sich fühlt sich gut an, scheint auch hochwertig verarbeitet zu sein und ist alles in allem gut eingeteilt um dem Inhalt gerechten Platz zu bieten. Zudem sieht sie gut aus im Regal ;) Zur Musik: Nach ein paar Mal hören, kann ich mich immer besser mit diesem sehr experimentierfreudigen Album von Madge anfreunden. Von den vorab veröffentlichten Songs (bereits einzeln bewertet) gefielen mir "Medellin", "Crave" und "I Rise" schon sehr gut, dann kam das "Dark Ballet". An letzteres habe ich mich jetzt doch gewöhnt, auch wenn es irgendwie völlig auseinanderfällt. Jetzt im Kontext des Albums betrachtet, fügt sich der Titel gut ein. Endlich bricht sie mal wieder mit den Regeln und hebt sich von der Masse ab. Von der viel erwähnten Lustlosigkeit kann ich nichts merken. Highlights des mutigen und abwechslungsreichen Werkes der Madame X sind "Crazy" (gut gelungener Pop), "God Control", "Killers who are Partying", "Looking for Mercy" (tolle Ballade) und "Ciao Bella". Die Einflüsse aus Portugal und des Fados machen das Album spannend und zeigen, dass es auch ohne Timbaland und ohne Nicki Minaj geht (obwohl es gelungene Features waren). Die Features sind meines Erachtens diesmal nicht so gelungen, da Muddi hier manchmal nur wie der Gaststar auf dem eigenen Album klingt. Aber das ist dann am Ende wahrscheinlich so gewollt und eine Frage des Geschmaks. Alles in allem finde ich es, allen Unkenrufen zum Trotz, ein sehr gelungens Album, denn es ist experimentell und nicht so mainstreamig breiig wie die Popprinzessinnen es derzeit sind. Madonna ist wohl nicht mehr so versessen dem Trend zu folgen, nein, sie schafft hier wieder was Eigenes und formt die Musik. Madame X ist bunt und abwechslungsreich und damit so wandlungsfähig wie die Queen es immer war. Das Album ist toll und vielleicht zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt so unterschätzt wie Erotica und American Life seiner Zeit.

An amazing boxset high quality throughout - its £65 directly from madonna store so stop grumbling as would cost you £70 buying direct with the postage. The Amazon listing is wrong to our benefit - this is actually 18 tracks - you get the 15 tracks and in addition you get 3 amazing tracks, Funana, Back that up to the beat and Ciao Bella. Considering you would pay £10 for the cassette, £30 for this edition of the CD from Japan, you get the vinyl which is lovely, the temporary tattoos which are a throw in and the poster all in a lovely box so in my eyes this is extremely reasonable, i did cancel my order on the official madonna store to save myself £15 - luckily i saved some pennies on the pre-order yay! A great album, great additional tracks and a lovely item for my huge madonna collection, what are you doing still reading - just buy now you wont be disappointed
