Worth the money
So people are saying it doesn’t retract well which is kind of true but try remember you’re retracting 25 feet of netting and unless it goes back straight, the cylinder won’t roll properly. If you walk it in straight and tight it rolls back up pretty good. I usually have maybe a foot that didn’t get in but it’s really not a big deal for me. I installed the free end near a wood fence and screwed a hook into the fence so I can slip the top end of the netting into the hook to keep from sagging. Everyone who has seen it thinks it’s pretty cool. I use it as a barrier in the back yard for my 18 month old and it works great. I’d def recommend

Great for Our Wimpy Dog
We have a medium-sized dog we wanted to be able to run free in our yard. We do have a fence, but no gate across the driveway. It would have cost hundreds of dollars to install a gate, so we looked for something less expensive. We looked at tennis nets, but they were either too long or would have looked messy. We wanted something better. Although this is for kids, it seemed to fit the bill, and so far we are happy. You simply dig two holes, hammer in the post holders, place one in, and, when you want to use the gate, place the other post in. It works like a window shade. My only complaint is that, when you retract the gate, you have to move it up and down so it does not jam as it rewinds. It is easy to do, I'm just being picky. True, as someone else wrote, it does not secure at the bottom, so a determined dog could sneak underneath or perhaps jump over, but our dog is a wimp. When confronted by the mesh barrier, he just looks out and then walks away. He is happy because he can run free in the yard, and for us it is very convenient to be able to simply open the front door and let him loose. There is about 3-4" of space at the bottom of the net, so I suppose a small dog easily could get under it if it wanted to. I'm not saying this is great for dogs, only that it is great for our dog.

Great to remind my dog to stay in his yard.
This is great for me. It keeps my large dog out of the neighbors yard. My dog likes it too since now he's not chained up with the possibility of tangling. He's still getting used to it - right now he sits at the fence and waits for me instead of relaxing in the yard. It is very easy to put up and take down, and very flexible where I put it, so I can move it's location easily, just by going to the local hardware and buying more plastic tubes as stakes. It has two poles, one for either side of the driveway, and they easily fit into the plastic tubes which I pounded into the ground. The product is tensioned so it easily goes back by winding up. Be careful not to wind it too high or low when retracting it or the netting may fold in the tube. Yes, there is about 4 inches below my net, because I didn't put the stakes all the way in the ground. I want it up a little so if a cat enters that it can get out without my dog trying to eat it. I have a wonderful dog, he won't try to run through the fence or eat the fence. If your dog is aggressive, a digger, or determined to get out, then this fence isn't for you. I personally think the fence is fine for balls, you have to put the poles fully in the ground and it should keep anything in that is larger than an inch or so above the ground. This is a medium to light duty plastic netting, like you would use in a window screen. If you want it for kids, I'd be worried about them playing with the netting and trying to bounce off it and then hurt themselves or the netting. Get a heavy duty plastic or metal fence instead. But if you have good kids and just want to make sure they remember not to chase a ball into the street, then this should be excellent. I don't have a good feel for how long the winding mechanism will last. May or may not last a long time. My feeling is that it should last a while if I am mindful of how I rewind it every time.

Hard to see, doesn't retract completely, but does the job.
We use this in our driveway to keep our kids contained. It absolutely works! However, as another reviewer mentioned, it's hard to see! We've had several people walk into it and cars almost drive into it! So we've threaded some orange tape through it to make it more visible and we bow put a big orange "kids playing" sign in front of it so people know it's there. I really wish it had some orange or other bright colors outlining or--or that the black was a brighter color like orange or yellow. The installation was easy. We've even had to move it and that wasn't too difficult. You'll need a mallet or hammer. The gate itself doesn't retract all the way. Depending upon how you pull it, you may get all but two feet into the tube--or you may be left with as much as four feet. The tape we added doesn't seem to impact its ability to retract, which I worried about initially. We do wish that it retracted all the way every time. Instead, we wrap the remaining gate around the tube or prop it against and fence that's nearby. It's a little annoying, but we're okay with imperfection because it does effectively keep our children out of the driveway and keep cars aware that children are playing.

Worked great.
I know this is not meant for a pool, but I used it as a deterant for muscle dogs to go ny the pool when we aren't around. It works great. I like it because you don't see it from a small distance, so it doesn't block the view. Caution. We do not have children so I can't say it is safe for them. I did show how I installed it

Good product. Bought to keep dogs off newly laid turf. Easy to install and very quick to remove from grass boundary to enable cutting of the lawn. It certainly prevents the dogs from getting on the lawn. Very happy.

We need a simple way to implement a retractable fence to ensure our puppy didn't run out of our yard...this work perfectly

Works well to keep cats from getting into our car port. Seems well made but does need a few attempts to retract the last few inches fully. Expensive but effective.
