I used Rust-Oleum High Heat Spray Paint in Flat Black to refresh an old, faded fire pit ring, and the results were excellent. The paint went on smoothly with even coverage and dried quickly. The flat black finish gave the fire pit a clean, like-new appearance without looking overly shiny or artificial. After several fires, the paint has held up well to the heat with no peeling or flaking. Proper prep definitely helps, but once applied, it provides a durable finish that stands up to outdoor conditions and high temperatures. I purchased this high heat clear spray specifically to seal my diamond art pieces, and it has worked beautifully. Seems to be really good high temp paint. I bought 2 cans to use on my two propane deep fryer burners. Follow directions when using. I dryed in the sun first, instructions read to put in an over for different temps and tiems to cure the paint. I just lit the burners on low, to medium and then higy flame for short times and let it cookl down in between the temperture changes to cure the paint. It gives off smoke each curing change but in the final the smoke stops, thats how you know when the paint is cured. My 37 year old burners look like new again. Easy to use and sold to me at a fair price. I like it

It doesn't dry black. It dries a dark gray. It darkens slightly after heating, but never achieves actual black. Think more charcoal. Attempting to get a reasonable reply after asking a question to anything remotely automotive or decorative when it comes to maintenance or rugged use on here is really rough. A question asking about the actual drying color of the paint got back immediate replies stating it to be black, and not answering my question. Thought this might help.. It isn't a bad color, but not quite what I needed, as I was trying to color match some motorcycle pipes that already had older paint on them.. Which is admittedly a tough call. This isn't too far off, as that paint has too grayed a little. Paint adhesion after heating seems actually pretty good. Better than I was expecting considering some of the reviews saying how delicate it is. Nozzle semi-blocked permanently for second use, causing drips. Thinner wouldn't move it.. Next time, I'll remove the nozzle between sprays and put it straight into thinner. Used effectively to spray a chimney cap to hopefully make it less interesting to birds than the bright steel surface. Cleaned and lightly scuffed, and cleaned the surface again.. The end result was a really very nice matte finish. Again, nowhere near black. A charcoal dark gray. The stuff dries incredibly fast. When applied to a larger surface I can see how the paint rubs off more than the small test piece I did. It's going to bake to all hell on the roof, so I imagine it'll get a good chance to cure. Might follow up with some pictures next spring of how it's fairing.

Used this on my wood burning stove that was starting to get a bit rusted. Went on well, looks good. Hasn't burnt or flaked off yet. Was a little stinky the first time (but it's inside, so what do you expect). Overall very happy with the appearance. And had good coverage as well, wasn't super thinned out.

Works great - scraped the paint off of my engine cover. Cleaned it off and sprayed this, matched the high heat treatment that was removed!

I have a gas fireplace and after 20 yrs, on the inner frame around the glass, the paint started to peel. Looked bad, wife mad. So did a lot of looking to try and match the paint color and ended up with this paint. Mistake, this paint is flat and my fireplace has a low/medium smooth finish not flat but not glossy. That is what I would have done different is try to find a low or medium glass instead of flat. When I stripped the paint on that frame I seen the manufacturer did not prep the surface, it had a vary smooth steel finish. I wondered how the original paint did not peel up sooner. I sand blasted the frame with coarse media, so the new paint would stick and sprayed on 2 medium coats. Looks great aside from the vary slight difference in finish and the color is not a perfect match. This paint being flat and the paint on the fireplace having a smooth low gloss finish. The difference is noticeable but does not look bad. Wife happy, life is back to being good.. lol. Of course it is holding up well so far, only a month and handling the heat of the fireplace so far, but I can not comment on longevity or endurance. I'll update this review in 20 yrs.

Best ever product. Very good for rusted exhaust pipe and exhaust muffler. Just clean whole exhaust unit and apply one coat first. After 20 minutes apply second coat. Definetly valve for money product.

We used it on our bbq smoker and the paint came out after few mins Order 20 qty spray out of 4 didnt work. 0 out of 10 product

As long as you follow proper baking procedures works great. The color is VERY matte! Be aware. But also nice. Held up well so far after 1 month.

Awesome quality paint thickness and heat resistance is very good Actually i accidentally bought this item (instead of rustoleum caliper paint) Gave a try Nd it worked very well Tip: keep on shaking the can while spraying for good results
