Is Aegir a ball point pen or gel ink?

Hi there! We appreciate your interest in our Livescribe Aegir Smartpen. It uses a Tungsten carbide ball point (medium point) ink cartridge - 67 mm length x 2.5 mm diameter. We hope this answers your question!

Will any paper do or does it have to be specific from the company?

You need specific paper to utilize all the features the pen offers. Otherwise, if you use regular paper (it will write), it only acts as a regular pen.

Zebra refill 4C-0.7 BR-8A-4C BL or BK is compatible. The LiveScribe 3 ink refills work as well. You have two options to choose from.

How many hours of audio can it store?

Hello! The Livescribe Aegir smartpen is the company's lightest and slimmest smartpen and therefore, does not come with any facility for recording and storing audio. Recording and storing of audio is done via the Livescribe+ app installed on your paired mobile device. To answer your question, it depends on the storage capability of your paired mobile device.
