Wish I would have order a smaller size, but the product was very good and easy to use.
My first time caning, so there was a learning curve. I wish I would have ordered a smaller size for a better fit in the groove, Since it was on the underneath of the chair I was able to use the spline and staples to secure the spline. I would have had to order a different size if this was on top of the chair. I could have soaked it a bit longer to make it easier to mold, but it worked. Happy with the product and the chair is back in working order!

Soak in warm water first!
I used this to secure a new rattan webbing seat in a family rocking chair. If you plan to bend this spline at all, soak it in warm water for about 15 minutes. It will become much more malleable and forgiving to work with. Also - for anyone who is doing a seat - I had a 1/4โ groove, however, because of the webbing wedged into the groove.. the 1/8โ size spline was perfect for me. I still used a mallet to drive it into the groove because it was still very tight. Overall - good product, good price. No complaints!

It worked great for my needs. The next time I will order a spine to make it easier.
