The rocks make a difference! The first set (not from these folks) with the new sauna started to deteriorate within a couple of months and didn't realize it until large quantities of dust started to accumulate. You could crush the rocks with my bare hands. Burn marks on the floor under the heater. What a time-consuming mess to clean up. Seller of the sauna never returned my calls or emails. Did the research. As a new sauna owner had no idea about the rocks but what I received from these folks made all the difference. Worth every penny! Rocks, rock!

These rocks work really nicely in my small sauna heater. They hold the heat really well and so far have not cracked at all even after liberally using them to produce steam. One thing to note if you are a first time user, DEFINITELY wash and rinse them a couple of times before you place them in the heating coils. Pros: Hold heat well. Really durable Cons: Not a large variety of sizes (at least in my box). They only came in large/medium size rocks with very few small rocks to fill gaps.

My sauna stove didn’t arrive with enough rocks, so I tried to supplement with rocks from the yard. They don’t last long - quickly split open. These last and look nice. Good shapes and angles to fit into the stove as well.

Well, the manufacturer of the stove in my sauna suggests replacing the rocks every 2 years. The rocks have never been replaced since purchasing in 2016. I am not sure why, but I did it anyhow. The price was less for the 45 lb box than offered on another site for 25 lb so went with these. Not sure what I can say about a box of rocks but the response from the UPS driver was quite funny. He thought I should open on arrival because it sounded like broken stuff When I said it was a box of rocks, we both laughed because we live in the mountains amongst piles and piles of rocks. Then we lsughed about the favt that I ordered and he delivered a box of rocks. Then we laughed about the likelihood I would review a box of rocks. In the current state of this messed up world, ordering a box of brought some needed joy.

Shipped within an hour of ordering, got a notification, then arrived in 3 days, delivered UPS on a Saturday. Came in a really well padded, reinforced and taped box with original box and information included as padding. Hand washed each stone because they all had dust on them, but I believe the dust was just from them rubbing together during shipping, not anything foreign. They were right at about the 45 pounds as advertised. I’ve seen negative reviews on weight discrepancies, they’re freakin rocks people haha! There is probably a price increase after 45 pounds so would you rather have one less rock or pay for shipping lol? Mine are currently drying and ready to go in the heater as soon as my sauna is done being built.

Works well and displaces heat nicely.
