The Voynich Manuscript: Full Color Photographic Edition

Was always so fascinated by this book, the pictures might be smaller but so is the price versus other ones on here

The problem with the reviews is that several books have exactly the same title, so it's difficult to tell which is being reviewed. The one I am reviewing (ISBN# 1599865556) is cheap - published through Kindle Direct, so no frills and the ink will be just recently dried when you get it. No author, as such, and images are taken from some online PDF. But the images are OK, if unprocessed - any blur is probably on the original too. And 'no author' is a plus for me - nobody knows the reason for this manuscript, so any explanation is going to be one person's speculation. Search ISBN# 1626542163 on Amazon for a good alternative - there's a 15sec video in the reviews that looks good.

These are actual photos of the original book, which is very old, so some pages are faded and difficult to see. I wish the photos were higher resolution. Anyway, this is a very cool book. The pictures are so strange and awesome. I hope someone figures out how to translate it.

This book belongs on anyone's bookshelf, especially those interested in alchemy or esotericism. This publication is made up completely of photographs of the original manuscript, so if you're looking for a discussion on the topic, this particular publication is not for you. But if you want to get lost in the pages of a mysterious grimoire from centuries past, look no further.

Just getting started on this ,if Yale couldn’t do it what makes me think I can?

When I found that copies of the Voynich manuscript had been released in a publication available to everyone I was excited to get a copy. It's a very interesting manuscript that, although no one fully understands yet, is still fascinating. However, this edition is strictly a photocopy of the original manuscript, period. Other than the usual publisher markings at the front, there's no additional information about this manuscript; like where it was found and who found it, speculation on the unknown language and drawings; or anything else helpful that you'd think they would've included. Keep that in mind if you're buying this as a gift for someone who has never heard of it.

This book is higher quality than most reviews suggest. The high resolution photos that can be found online as pdf files are easier to zoom and viewer, but this book is of reasonable quality for something so old and unique. It is a compilation of photographic scans of the original document.

Está bien, pero no aclara demasiado sobre el mismo, pues es el propio libro el que carece de significado hasta el momento.

Si potrebbe dire "meglio di niente", ma non basta a dare una recensione favorevole al libro. Né più né meno che una stampa, fatta male, a bassa risoluzione e poco contrastata, delle fotografie disponibili online. Peccato, perché una buona stampa delle fotografie online sarebbe oltremodo utile e perciò gradita.

Images are clear, roughly 8x10 images and paper is nice quality.

Fijn dat het hele Manuscript te zien is. Kwaliteit van het papier is echter erg slecht. Het begint nu al wat te bubbelen alsof het vocht uit de lucht opzuigt. Maar misschien mag je niet meer verwachten voor dit geld.
