I tracked the failure down to the speed controller sitting in water. Purchased the new controller and my grandkids back in business! It is my 2 year old grandson favorite car.

I’m giving this a solid review because the Weelye RX23 Q2V control box receiver actually worked as intended — my issue was user error.The unit arrived well packaged and installed without much difficulty. Connections lined up correctly with the original harness, and initial testing showed it was responsive and paired properly with the remote. For the short time it was functioning, everything operated smoothly.Unfortunately, I misused it during installation. I likely connected something incorrectly or pushed it beyond its intended voltage range, and I ended up burning the unit. That was on me, not the product. These control boxes are sensitive electronic components, and proper wiring and voltage matching are critical.If you know exactly what you’re doing and double-check your connections, this should work just fine as a replacement receiver. Just be careful during installation — learn from my mistake.

Fixed my daughters best choice 12v Jeep. Couple screws and a few connectors. Just like the original one. No problems installing. Seems like it’s quality. My old one got water in it.

This should work if you have a white button remote. If you have a red button remote it will not be compatible with your parent remote. The red button remotes come with the control boxes with the FCCE sticker on them, look for this too. If you have this your replacement must also have it. If not the remote will do nothing. However, putting this control box on a car with a red button remote will still allow the car to work, just with no parent control. Other than the FCCE sticker the control boxes appear completely identical, inside and out.Sellers across amazon need to be much more clear on this.Install itself is pretty simple. Two screws. The 4 plugs are idiot proof.Lastly, do not stuff 24v through these. I see some people increasing their car voltage from 12 to 24. The components in this unit are all rated at 14v and you will probably damage something. There are 24v versions available.
