Best commercial falernum I've tried so far.
I make homemade falernum for cocktails, but the process takes a bit of time. Sometimes, you just want something ready to go, especially if you don't have lime zest/almonds/ginger in your pantry at all times. This falernum smelled nice, when opening up the bottle. I tried some by itself and it had a nice spice laden taste to it, similar to a cinnamon syrup, only this tasted of cloves and citrus. I tried the falernum in one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Puka Punch and it worked well, though that cocktail has a bunch of other ingredients. My next cocktail, was probably a better assessment of the syrup - I made a drink with 1.5 oz Jamaican rum, .75 oz fresh lime, and .75 oz falernum. Oh man, this made for a great drink! The only negative, I can think of, is that traditional falernum has a bit of alcohol in it, as a preservative. This doesn't, though you could easily add a splash of vodka to preserve it longer in your fridge. When I'm not making falernum by hand, this will be my go to choice.

Perfect for drinks that call for it as an ingredient.
Well packaged for travel great flavor. Makes some seriously good drinks that call for. Itโs not a direct substitute for Simple syrup. But does jazz up some drinks you put it in.

Makes a great margarita, Trader Sam style!
I consider myself a margarita connoisseur and make them quite a bit for friends and family. I make them strong, following a traditional recipe. When I was at Disney World recently, I tried a margarita and several tiki drinks at Trader Sams (at the Polynesian resort). All of their drinks were fantastic, and after a little research it seems they use BG Reynolds in all their drinks. I tried this Falernum syrup as a sweetener in my margaritas and "yum" - they taste very similar to the ones at Disney. Here's the recipe I use: - 2 oz tequila (100% agave) - 1 oz fresh lime juice - 1 oz orange liquor (Cointreau, etc) - 1/2 oz Falernum - 1/2 oz agave nectar (you can reduce or omit this if you want to reduce the sweetness) Try it at your next taco Tuesday!

Expensive but good
Itโs a little expensive for something that should be made by hand. Otherwise, the flavor is excellent.

ADD A SHOT OF EVERCLEAR
I've generally been impressed with the BG Reynolds products. I bought the Falernum and have been very happy with it for a variety of tiki drinks. ONE RECOMMENDATION: Make a couple drinks with it and then add back a shot of Everclear. Doing so will make it store longer.

Loved it!
Great flavor - plenty of ginger and cloves. Here's a tip: mix this up with the rum (or whiskey) BEFORE you start with the ice. Otherwise, you end up with a VERY thick last sip. (Not that it's bad or anything, just a little thick and spicy!) We will be buying again, definitely worth the price vs. trying to concoct your own!

Oh wow, cruise drinks
It's legit Tiki syrup. It'll make a Tuesday feel like a holiday. You don't need too much, you don't want too much, add a tablespoon at a time. Goes great with flavored rums, quality rums, Ginger ale, lemonade, you name it.
