Hawwwy Premium 2 Piece Snap-and-Roll Hair Tool - Magic Bun Maker with Hair Ties, Bobby Pins for Updos, French Twists - Black

I have medium thickness hair below my waist so had to be somewhat creative with using this bun maker. As you can see in my photo, I have blonde, gray, light brown and white streaked hair and if any part of the tool showed it would blend right in. I can use the bun maker by making a pony tail then bending over and rolling the pony up to my scalp. The bun in the picture was made using a claw to hold my hair at the nape, doing the bend over and rolling to the claw, then taking the claw out and rolling to the scalp. So the pictured bun has no hair band or pins involved, my favorite way to go. It will stay in all day. I gave one of my three bun makers to my teen ballerina granddaughter who loves it. It is shorter than the one she had been using for class and recital and she says it is easier to use. Her hair is very thick to just above her waist. I don’t understand the folks saying this is not good for long or thick hair.

The product arrived quickly. It doesn't come with any instructions, so you'll need to review pics and reviews here to learn how to put it in. I put my hair up in a quick ponytail, opened the the product, inserted the end of my ponytail between the two sides, rolled it up my ponytail and then clicked/snapped it into a donut. It only clicks into a donut one way, so if you try clicking it a certain way and it doesn't fairly easily snap into a donut, try the other way. Then position your hair around the product to create a great bun and hide the product under the hair. It felt like it held my hair tight and didn't feel like it would slip out. Because I have long layers, there were a few pieces that I'd probably bobby pin into the bun if I wanted it to look perfect, otherwise it was a cute messy bun. Super easy. I don't understand reviews that say they can't figure it out. I'm pleasantly surprised and will be giving as stocking stuffers this year.

It doesn't work as easy as it says, maybe my hair is too thick & long. It works well to keep your bun secure instead of having to use pins, just flip & wrap around the base of the bun.

I have very thick hair that is to my shoulder blades. I need to put my hair in a bun when I am doing historic 18th century re-enacting. I have tried other options and this works better then anything I have used this far. I do need to do it with my hair wet or else it doesn't look nice or well put together just frizzy and sloppy. It did take some practice to get the technique down probably due to my amount of hair. My only problem with it is that I wore it all day and because of how thick my hair is it never gets dry until I put it down. So these rusted in the course of the day. Just a little but still I don't want to have to use a new one each time I participate in a event.

I'm sorry but this thingy doesn't snap at all. It's bending but the ends are not holding together. Totally useless. Going back to the seller since it worth some $5 I can use for something else. This "premium" magus bun maker is not worth it.

To me, these are the perfect little bun maker for short tyo medium hair length. Super easy. Just roll, curl and snap. Sometimes you have to do it a few times to get it to snap on the correct direction. But once you get it, it's great. Comfortable and stays in place all day.

Doesn’t hold hair in a bun

it is wonderful! But i do wish the steel band wouldnt be so loose like even with one press it closes which is fustrating but it works wonders!

Habe lange Haare und wenn es mal ordentlich haben möchte ist damit gut beraten. Selbst wenn man den Dutt ganz tief positioniert.

Me gustó mucho el producto, hace años había tenido uno similar y me gusta porque te hace el chongo (moño) muy rápido. Se necesita práctica para enrollarlo porque un extremo está abierto, pero lo puedes solucionar poniendole una liga para cabello. Apenas llevo usándolo 2 veces, ya veremos cuando dura.
