Fitment is excellent for a 327 SB
1964 Corvette with a 327. Fitment is perfect. Tried other brand water pumps and it never aligned my water pump pulley as perfect as this one. No shims needed. Just installed and time will tell of its dependability. Seemed like a good build quality. Space between the timing cover and water pump is sufficient also.

Worked on marine Merc 6.2mpi
I had all sorts of reservations about buying and mainly seeing other more mainstream options were in the hundreds of dollars but figured would give it a shot. One thing I didn't know is if rotation would be an issue but ends up both my motors turn in the same direction and that's the same direction as autos. The inside impeller is much different than my original which was brass but the impeller on this looks to be stainless or perhaps galvanized, along with the backplate, and the coolant is the same between auto and boat so not like it's something subjected to salt water. I did have to coat it and used motorcoater which I already had so super easy. Another difference between OEM and this is the extra hole/port on the one side, OEM does not have this but there's an opening on the block for it which would have to be blocked off or the OEM one wouldn't work so no problems with that difference. Just as an FYI, my motors are 2008 models with outdrives (may be relevant as perhaps the outdrives is where the rotation occurs) and of course I can only speak to my exact setup.

Defective from the Get-go
Purchased in July 2025, just finished rebuilding my engine and immediately after getting it running (March 27 2026), the water pump leaked. Warranty is a year, so will be contacting ACDelco on their leaking new water pump. Thanks for the extra work ACDelco.
