They see me rollin', they hatin'...
...cuz my wheelchair is painted black and red and awesome! I had spinal surgery in June and we had initially purchased a transport chair (all small wheels, the user cannot steer). That was really light and worked out well for traveling, but it was really irritating trying to go anywhere because I felt like I had no control. We purchased this one for everyday use, and I love it! I love the colors, and have even gotten compliments from people on the streets on how nice it looks. I got a little cushion to sit on and that makes it even more comfortable. I am 5'5" and 115 lbs and there is a lot of room for me to shift around. My husband likes it because he doesn't have to take anything apart or off of it to load it in the car, and he can still push me around, if I need him too. Be warned, it is not light. I am not sure of the exact weight, but we had to switch back to the transport chair when my 60 year old Mom had to take care of me because she couldn't lift this one. My husband isn't Thor or anything, <sigh>, and he can lift it alright. My only complaint is, I was a little weak after the surgery and the brakes were difficult for me to lock in place. At first, I thought they didn't work, but you just really have to crank them over. I think it is a great price for a nice chair, even though I hope I don't have to use it for much longer! I was also able to snap the cup holder from my transport on, so I can enjoy a refreshing beverage while I roll.

Excellent value for your dollar
Whatever decision lead you to this page, whether your disability is temporary or permanent, this wheelchair is an amazing product, With two injured knees I couldn't easily move on crutches without intense pain and exhaustion. The decision to invest in this particular product is one I won't regret. Several features drew me to this wheelchair. Increased weight capacity without extra bulk means a lighter chair that can be folded/unfolded by one person. Removable armrests, leg rests, and lowering back handles makes storage, transportation, and transfer a hassle-free process. Product is packaged well and only took fifteen minutes to assemble from start to finish, no tools required. Push button design means you can remove the casters, foot rests, wheels, and arm rests quickly and easily. The wheelchair practically glides as it rolls over most surfaces with little effort. Tight turning radius is a bonus for small spaces. Very solid, it can take some abuse without worrying about damaging components or the frame. The casters are large and can sometimes get in the way when rolling over small ledges like door thresholds, and this is my only complaint. Similar wheelchairs at a local pharmacy cost upwards $300. While the price originally drew me to the Rebel it is because of the quality that I will recommend this to anyone needing a wheelchair.

Why Pay More Than You Need To For a Wheelchair?
My need for a good quality wheelchair and at an affordable price point was found with this chair. With features such as, removable wheels at the touch of a button, fold down rear handles makes this chair a breeze to transport. The high gloss paint scheme separating it from the other chairs was a bonus. As with any purchase made online, I was skeptical of the quality until it arrived. Comfortable, durable, stable, well balanced and sturdy, I am well pleased with my purchase of the Drive Medical lightweight wheelchair. Since it has only a standard back stops, I would however like to see as an optional purchase "wheelie bars." For installing or removing the armrests for the first few times I would recommend; Installing the armrests; the user insert the rear posts first (or vice -versa, depending on if you want the arm rest pads facing forward or back) and then with a quick and forceful motion pop the front - rear posts in. When removing the armrests; push down on the front - rear of the armrest to relieve the spring pressure off the push button and then remove. It helps if you spray a little lube like WD-40, and after a few times doing this break-in procedure the tension on the spring buttons begin to relax. Ill try to post a video soon.

Worked out extremely well
I'm sitting in it right now. I used this wheelchair as my primary mode of transportation at work in a fish processing facility in remote Alaska for 7 weeks while I was healing from a bimalleolar ankle fracture. Fairly light, and collapses even though that wasn't necessary for my circumstances. Held up well at pretty high paces on the dock with bumps every plank. Still rides smooth and works well. I am now 95% recovered, but I still use it daily as a desk chair. Quite comfortable. Really, surprisingly comfortable. Can accommodate large dudes, I'm 5'10 and 230lbs. My coworker liked to sit in it as well when I wasn't using it, and he is around 5'10 and 265lbs. It has some road wear. One arm rest broke and I had to doctor it with 3M 5200, UHMW, linerless rubber splicing tape, and Super 88 tape. Then again, I doubt you will be running the refrigeration system at a freezer plant in remote Alaska working 14hrs a day in this chair. I put this thing to extreme use and abuse, and it held up pretty well. I did not travel with it much so I cannot comment to how it holds up in and out of the trunk of a car twice a day. I highly recommend. Comfy, fits in small and tight spaces, holds up to abuse, and pretty light. You can do some sick wheelies in it as well!

Great value and quality
This is a very nice wheelchair with a great paint job! It rolls very easily and the front wheels pivot well. On a smooth floor, I can push her straight with one hand. It is a little heavier than another chair we tried, but it is so much better made. If you have to pack it in a smaller car trunk or cargo area, both large rear wheels are easily removable. We’re glad we bought it and would buy it again. It’s very good quality for the price.

Perfect! It is Comfy, Well Designed & Stylish!
Love the style. I am 5'7 and 250 lbs (shhhh let's keep that our little secret) and it fits perfectly and I am comfortable in it. I needed it due to walking and balance issues. The arm rests are removable and for me at a perfect height and their is a pocket on the back of the seat. There is also nice size handles on each side of the seat to easily fold - I love that. When sitting you do not feel the handles at all. But it did shock me when we pulled it out of the box and had to put it together ... lol. I previously bought wheelchairs and they normally come fully assembled. However putting it together is actually very easy. The wheels simply push into the axle and can be easily removed by pushing the button and pulling if off so that is a nice feature especially for smaller cars. The smaller wheels were a simple push and click which does have two levels for height. The footrests you need to hold back the silver clip then slide the holes over the nubs and then swing into place and release the silver clip to lock into place. The foot rest also has numerous levels for adjusting the height of the foot rests - beautiful. My son who is 5'11 sat it it and he was very comfortable he also weight about 250. So I worried over nothing ... lol. Well worth every penny and I enjoy it greatly. Also due to spine issues I did need to get a cushion the cushion I got was Cush Comfort Non-Slip Memory Foam Seat Cushion - Spinal Alignment Chair Pad for Relief from Sitting Back Pain Just fyi for those who need one but it was comfortable without it but for me sitting a long time in it would make my pain worse which would happen with any wheelchair. Enjoy ... highly recommended. Good luck!

Terrific product
This is a well designed, easy to set up and take down transport chair. Quality is exceptional. I'm in my 80's and I am able to take the chair in and out of the trunk and set it up and take it down very quickly and easily. It is very compact when taken down. The person I transport weighs 250 pounds. The chair handles the weight well and is easy to push.

Defective Fork Frame Knobs
BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I really liked this wheel chair for comfort and for ease of wheeling about but there is a major problem unrelated to what I liked about it. The fork frame knobs (pin) started to fall out after just a few days! Taking the wheel chair in and out of the car has seen the front wheels fall off when the pins dissloged. Then do not screw in securely and wiggle lose when going over bumps. Several times while at home and not even lifting the wheelchair into the car the pins have dropped onto the floor and any doorways that have a height discrepancy will cause the front wheel, one or the other to drip off and the chair to pitch forward. Very scary and hazardous! I ordered two new fork frame knobs from the only source I could find that sells them and have been waiting two weeks for them to ship. They are sold as a set and cost me $30.00, just checked again this afternoon and they were yet to ship, I got frustrated and cancelled the order. With only one supplier I grew leery over the quality, that I might be purchasing the same inferior part. I've now decided to purchase a new chair from the company I usually buy from. I purchased this chair because it was quite a bit cheaper than my usual maker and now I'm reminded that you get what you pay for. Too bad that an otherwise okay chair can be demoted to junk by such a seemingly small part of the whole product. Buyers beware! UPDATE: After waiting weeks for the new knobs that held the front wheels on I decided to cancel, was just overly aggravated by the whole issue so i tried to cancel. Suddenly it was too late to cancel and the knobs showed up a few days later. Sadly after just a few days they too began to drop off, yes I was careful to note proper placement but to no good. Now the wheels again are constantly falling off. Time to shop elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE!

Very Good, Strong Chair
I bought this chair for use with my daughter who has limited mobility so that we can go on longer outings. She has never used it by herself except to move around inside our home. I am sure she would be able to push herself fine on it, but we have used it mostly as a transport chair. It is a very good manual wheelchair, sturdy and firm. We have had no issues with it - I read a review that said people kept knocking their feet against the back of it. I have not experienced that problem. We did have to buy a pillow made by the same manufacturer, because my daughter complained that she could feel every bump, but with the added pillow she finds the ride much smoother. We have found that it is not light or easy to put into a vehicle. It is a full sized, chair in quite heavy, so I don't know why it is called Lightweight. I guess other chairs are heavier, but I don't have any experience with any other chairs.

Outstanding
Better than I expected for such a low price. Assembly was simple and very quick. Unit is very solid but lightweight. Paint finish is gorgeous. Very impressed especially with customer service who gladly sent out a replacement seat when mine arrived with a minor abrasion likely from shipping. Definitely recommend.

Wheelie machine!
Bought this thing to do super sick wheelies in. Let me tell you as a person who appreciates life on the edge this is for you. Weather you've lived life on the edge now you need a wheel chair for mobility or like me an individual who needs a wheelchair for life on the edge this is for you. Paint scheme 10/10 looks like I got 100 headshots on cod mw2 got that red tiger camo. Nothing brings out the beers like a wheelchair. Has proven quite durable have ramped it off quite a few curbs and stairs no front wheel breakage yet. Recommend for shenanigans or for nan 100% big fan
