I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and amount of wax for the price. It came in it's own plastic container, each color separated in a different box. The container has a latch that clicks shut, and it works so well that I'm already trying to figure out what I'm going to do next with the box. With the wax, I started off using 3 beads, thinking that would barely be enough, but once they melted down, I almost had too much wax for the area I was pouring. It definitely depends on your wax aesthetic (clean and neat vs. potentially messy and full), but 2-3 beads should definitely be enough. The tea lights were a little funky. They had a weird translucency and the wick was pretty far underneath the top layer of wax, so I did have to dig it out slightly. The colors mixed well together when I played with doing a bi/tricolored seal, and the wax holder/pourer/spoon cleaned easily. (For those just starting out, making sure not to clean it with water immediately after use. The wax will harden and be impossible to get off unless you remelt it all. I usually just wipe it with a napkin and it all comes off easily.) With the amount of colors provided, I'd definitely buy again.

A handwritten waxed-sealed letter is so simple but so special. This kit is really easy to use. I love all the color options. And it'll last a very long time. Great way to add a little something special to your letters. Does not include a wax stamp, fyi.

I'm very happy with what I got for the price. Yes, these beads are more plastic than real wax. With this many beads for less than $20 I'd be very surprised if it was actual wax. So if you know that before you buy, it isn't a disappointment. In fact, for my purposes, the plasticky beads are more efficient anyway. I apply seals to props and handouts used in my D&D games, and the cheap stuff works perfectly and no one receiving my seals would ever know the difference. If you want that authentic real wax seal, though, you won't like these beads. For their purpose, they melt well, harden quickly, and have lovely color. My only complaint with the plastic-type beads is that they don't break easily. So when a seal is opened, it is more likely to stay whole and just tear the paper up more than I imagine real wax would. The packaging is fine. The plastic divider box for the beads is very convenient. My set didnt come vacuum sealed like others, but that's not an issue for me. Like others, though, the candles were a bit squished. Again, not an issue. I didn't buy this for the candles, and you can get a large pack of good tealights for super cheap anywhere. All in all, I think this is a good set for casual hobby sealing, or getting started. It is a good way to get a bunch of colors to start with, for not a lot of money.

This set came nicely vacuum packed, but as a result, the tealights were destroyed. The metal is incredibly flimsy, I could bend them easily back into shape but that makes me a bit nervous about using them. Not the end of the world, tea lights are abundant and inexpensive. Most importantly, DON'T BOTHER WITH THE SPOON unless you have some kind of hand protection. I do not know why these companies include these awful spoons. The metal will burn you once it heats up the wax. Anyway, I really only wanted this set for the beads. There's a good variety and they're the proper size. There was, however, some variation in quality. I first tried the metallic bronze and was in love. Melted great, poured great. Then I tried the matte yellow - not so great. Melted chunky and poured really goopy so I ended up not having enough wax for the seal. Not bad if on sale, or a beginner, or looking for practice beads. I'll probably use only the metallic colors because they really are beautiful. Worth a try.

Did exactly what I wanted it to do at a great price! I just wish I could buy each color individually. Wax was kind of plastic-y, but that is probably best these days, because the seal actually holds up very well to abuse. It doesn't deform or chip easily.

I used this product to seal my envelopes and they worked wonderfully. The colour selection is gorgeous as you have the traditional browns and reds but you also have some bold colours like the bight pink and blue. Highly recommended xx

A very beautiful palette, easy to use and easy to clean. I used 7 pieces from 2 colors and it is way too much! Try using 4 colors. I absolutely recommend that kit!
