![Die Hard 2 - Die Harder [Blu-ray]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81vhKPCvGSL.jpg)

A year on from 'Die Hard', Los Angeles cop John McClane is set to meet up with wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia) on Christmas Eve, this time at Dulles airport in Washington DC. However, when terrorists take over the airport in an attempt to rescue dictator Esperanza (Franco Nero) from his incoming flight, it is up to McClane to restore order and ensure that Holly's plane lands safely. Get that sweaty vest out, and put some shoes on this time. Review: Fun - Fun Review: Solid sequel - Who would have thought back in 1988 when the original Die Hard hit the cinema screens that it would spawn a 5 film franchise. This second film in the series is a more than decent entry predominantly taking place inside a busy airport. Our hero John McLaine comes up against a group of terrorists who have crippled the Air Traffic Control and are able to crash planes at will. Not only must John McLaine face taking down the terrorists, he also has to contend with an overworked and grumpy airport police captain, the fact that his wife is on one of the threatened planes and a news reporter wanting the big headlines. Can McLaine single handily restore order to the airport? As well as safely bringing down the plane that his wife Holly is on? I have knocked off a star because the DVD I received was the 2:35 Widescreen Aspect Ratio version meaning the film played out on the TV in a letterbox fashion and this wasn't made clear to me when I ordered.

Classic 90's film making.
I love the Die Hard series - Bombs, Bullets, Bad Guys and no real romantic stuff to get in the way of all the action! It's amazing how going to the airport to pick up his wife leads John Mc to kill loads of people, shout a lot, get beat up bad and then save the day. It's never happened to me at Heathrow. Of course, my girlfriend says it's mindless, stupid, unrealistic and generally hates the film. For all the same reasons I think it's great. I watch it when she's out.

Original Movie ???
The quality of the DVD is not in question , the problem for me on this movie ( well this particular copy ) is the fact that scenes have been deleted from the movie. Versions of this film i have seen before ( on SKY movies and terestial TV ) have all been the same. The 1 glaring scene ommision on this copy of the movie, is when The Army leave the the airport control tower to go to the Church at the end of the airport to engage the Terrorists , in the back of the troop truck the Army commander slits the throat of his newly joined radio operator prior to arriving at the church. This scene is missing , and the edit jump is all to clear for those who have seen the movie before. Other small scenes are also missing, the jumps at edtiting giving away gaps in the movie. I hope this is just a poor copy i have purchased and is only confined to this suppliers dvd on Die Hard 2 , i will be purchasing another copy, but from a different company, hope its a true full version PS., I have just been informed that maybe i have the '15' rated copy, i have just checked and the DVD case and outer cover have '18' stamped on them , the actual DVD disc has the red '18' circle then next to it a blue octaganal '15' cert stamp , so it looks like maybe i have the watered down copy - BUYERS BEWARE THE OUTER CASE HAS NO INDICATION OF THE '15' CERTIFICATE - i sugest open the case and check the disc before purchase , if it has the 18 & 15 stamp leave it on the shelf

IF YOU LIKE AIRPORT FILMS,YOU WILL LOVE THIS AS USUAL JOHN'S WAITING FOR HIS WIFE TO DROP IN.IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS I WILL NOT SPOIL IT FOR YOU.IT IS A VERY THRILLING ,SUSPENCE FILLED AND SOME TIME'S QUITE FUNNY.THE BADDIES ARE QUITE EVIL IN A SWEET AND LOVEABLE WAY WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THE ARMY COULD BE CALLED THAT.THE FILM LOOKS AND SOUNDS MUCH BETTER ON BLU-RAY.

4/5 no die hard one
It's no die hard one but it's still a classic action film which is well worth the £2.79 it'll cost you to get.

Yippy Kai Yaaay...!
Bruce in the second outing in this role he's made his own, saving the day in an all action tale that is arguably one of the best in the series
