LEGO Minifigures Disney Series 2 71024 Building Kit (1 Minifigure)

The LEGO minifigure surprise packs are a really fun way to add a bit of excitement to something already loved. Each pack is a mystery, so you never quite know which character or theme you’re going to get until you open it, and that reveal moment is honestly the best part. The figures themselves are the classic LEGO quality you’d expect—well-made, detailed, and sturdy enough for play or display. It also works really well as a small gift or stocking stuffer because it feels thoughtful without being expensive or complicated. Kids especially enjoy the surprise element, and it often turns into collecting, trading, or trying to get a favorite character. I love LEGO blind bags because it's always a surprise what's inside. You get one opaque bag containing one of 18 different minifigure characters - you won't know what you've got until you open it. The LEGO Disney Minifigures Series 2 has a fun and varied assortment of characters to add to your LEGO collection. Available characters are Vintage Mickey, Vintage Minnie, Hercules, Jack Skellington, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Chip, Dale, Jasmine, Jafar, Hades, Elsa, Anna, Sally, Edna and Frozone. Many of the accessories are new for May 2019. I got a total of 4 blind bags, and received 4 different minifigures. With the blind bags, you won't know which you're getting - it's very much luck of the draw, so I could have received duplicates, but this time I got lucky. I received Dewey, Dale, Jafar, and Hades. All of them are cool, and each of them has at least one accessory element and a display plate. Hades has a cool molded tentacle dress, molded clear blue hair (it does not remove from her head), and flame accessories. Dale is a super cute chipmunk with a sack accessory. Jafar comes with a cape, shoulder armor, a cool hat, and a scepter. The bottom half of his flowing robes are made of a curved angle brick and his head has faces on two sides so he can have two different expressions. Dewey has a blue cap, a separate tail piece, and comes with a slingshot. Both Dewey and Dale are shorter characters with short legs. The collector's leaflet shows pictures of all 18 collectible, Limited Edition minifigures. On the reverse side, there are instructions for constructing 6 of the minifigures (the others don't require instructions). One thing I like about the two-faced minifigures is that when I make my stop motion animations, the characters can have expressions. Lego minifigures are useful to extend play of other sets as well, and I like the blind bags because you get good value for the money - buying a collectible minifigure on its own can cost much more than the cost for a blind bag.

Pros: fun list of Disney Characters from the archives, not as fun as the first series, but if you love the Disney catalog of characters you'll love them. Most of them have additional (repeated) pieces of accesories so if your kid (or you :) ) looses the accesories they will have replacements. And last, everybody who has bought Legos know they are very difficult to break and really fun to assemble and play. Cons: even though I mentioned above the replacement parts, one of my bags came opened so most of the contents were lost (only the torso, legs and head came of one of Donald's nephews), so one of my figures is incomplete. Also, not all the figures have the same odds, and Donald's nephews are the most difficult to find, at 3.99 a bag this is not nice to customers. And last, Lego decided some years ago that all lego human characters had to have human Lego faces, not cartoonish ones, this makes human characters (Jafar, Edna, Elsa, etc.), look ackward in comparison to old versions of the same characters.

Detail on these Lego mini-figs is superb for their size. Some figures are remarkably large for being Lego minis. The photo in the fold-out is to scale. The tallest ones are the old school Mickey and Minnie, Jafar, Hades, and Scrooge McDuck. Some of them have large elaborate props (like Mickey's steering wheel) or Jack's box or Huey's book). Elsa ad Jasmine's hair piece is semi-flexible. Oddly, I got 2 hats in my Minnie bag. Elsa was separately bagged, but none of the others were. What you get is completely random, so set your expectations accordingly. Some people suggested going to the store and feeling the bag for shape, but I don't think that's a very easy way to identify the contents. For one thing, the bag is rather stiff (foil lined), not transparent, and the pieces are all disassembled, making it hard to tell what you're touching. I ordered 7 and luckily got 7 uniques. I love them and will order more to try to complete the collection.

Grandson likes the surprise and that they aren’t common figures

The blurb in the ad read as though you were receiving multiple minifigures however it is only 1 minifigure. Very misleading!
