Great stuff!
Works great but smells strong. Use in a well-ventilated room. I would but this again for another vivarium build!

Works great for aquariums!
I used this when reconditioning my 2006 50 gal aquarium, which has now been setup for a year after application. I used the clear, it's none yellowing and it's still mostly clear. It's actually mostly opaque in the thicker areas and clear in the thinner feathered out areas. It's easy to apply, well maybe not as easy inside of an aquarium, you need to move quickly and not touch the same areas twice. You may also need some paint thinner or similar solvent based thinner to clean up any mess. It's best to just let it dry, and use a new razor blade to scrape any excess off. Just make sure everything is prepped and very clean prior to application. One tube was plenty for the tank, I used 1" blue tape helping with straight lines. It's not necessary, but it does help make things look better. Cures overnight, but I gave it a few days prior to my leak test. They also have black, but I like the clear better on this tank. I'm sure it would be a great silicone for other applications, so use it up before any remaining in an unopened tube cures inside the tube. It's good stuff and well worth the money and your labor! Cheers!

High quality product
Used this to reseal a fish tank. Ended up working out great! Dries pretty quickly, so be prepared to move quickly.

Very good stuff, but make sure you learn about curing silicone, don't treat it like glue.
Worked great - I built a custom aquarium equipment baffle/in tank sump with this stuff. It went on smoothly, dried quickly, and adhesion was awesome. Silicone doesn't properly bind to dry silicone, but this stuff still bonded will enough over the tank beads to seal it, though there's very little strain on those bonds, and it's reinforced all around by good quality bonds between glass and plastic. Important notes on how silicone cures ("drys") - 1) beads thicker than 1/8" will effectively NEVER cure, so less is more when you need strong bonds, like in aquariums. 2) because curing is not drying, low humidity is not helpful, in fact, it's horribly counterproductive to curing. A cure that will take many days at 15% relative humidity will take a couple days at 30-35% and a day at 50-60%. A humidifier in the room if it's dry where you live will dramatically improve the cure time. 3) heat isn't nearly so important as humidity, so don't waste your time going at it with a hair dryer or heat gun, the top skin will form faster, but that's mostly because of the air flow. A gentile fan would be much better. It usually won't cure as fast under really cold conditions, but just aim for room temperature.

Strong Smell, but Works Well
Only giving this product 4 stars because of the terrible smell. I've used clear silicone before, and it did not have such a strong smell as this product. I opted for black as I was using it to build a dart frog terrarium, and if any if the soil washed away, I would prefer to only see some black spots in the background. It took literally 4-5 days for the smell to disapate. Do not apply this product in an area where people or pets are forced to breath near, until it has cured. I built my terrarium down in my cellar, with the back door open, and fans on, and I still had a headache for days due to the smell. The smell even seeped upstairs! That being said, the product worked well! I siliconed heavy peices of driftwood, and also rocks to my tank, and nothing has budged since! After foaming in my background, and letting it dry, I then spread silicone all over the background, and dumped cocoa fiber on top. After allowing it to dry for a few days, I then removed any excess, and vacuumed it out. The cocoa fiber has stayed put, and now plants and mosses are growing all over the background! Looks great! So as long as you are aware of the extremely strong, terrible smell, I would recommend this product. Once cured, there is no remaining smell!

Works as needed and dries pretty quickly.
I used this to water seal some spray foam I put in my geckos ๐ฆ tank. The product dried pretty quickly for the application I used it for. I cut and sanded the spray foam so The absorbent product I put it on might have been why it dried so quickly. I also didnโt want the glossy look that you get with product so I tried to dust it with some dry soil, but half was already dry & to had to put another layer to get it tacky enough for the dirt to stick on there. This is not the main use for the product, but it works and my DYI project turned out great! And I have a happy gecko, a humid tank and no soggy decor, so Iโm satisfied with this product and will use it again if I ever need to!

Quality, fish safe sealant for aquariums
Great sealant. Dries fast, nice true black color, fish safe and has so far held up in my 45 gallon bow front aquarium for over three years now.

Very Close to Perfect
This Aquarium Sealant is so far superior to regular hardware store silicone that it's not even in the same league. I don't buy it for anything but aquariums, because it is more expensive -- but I won't ever go back to the cheaper product. You can feel the difference when you put it on -- even with clumsy old hands like mine. You can trust the seams not to leak if you have done a proper prep job. If you are ever trying to dismantle an aquarium, you will find this product holds much, much tighter. I've broken glass trying to take aquariums apart after using this product so if you are after a temporary fix this is not the one. But if you want something permanent, this is your product. I've used both the clear and the black and highly recommend them both. I've operated an aquarium store with many custom made aquariums that were assembled using this product and never had one leak, even when shelving over time went out of level, adding a great deal of stress to at least one corner of a few aquariums.

Strong, highly recommend for large aquariums
I had a 120 gallon aquarium I was looking to reseal. After looking online talking about how you can use silicone sealant, that is completely not true. I've used general purpose sealant before, and I can say that this silicone is much stronger, and after 2 months, my aquarium is holding up nicely. According to other people online, it's rated for a much higher psi than general purpose. If you have an aquarium larger than 50 gallons, I highly recommend dishing out extra money to buy this. It's also much cheaper compared to the aquarium silicone you can get at your local hardware stores. For my 120 gallon, I only needed 1 tube with a bit left over. I definitely recommend wearing a respirator, a mask and eye protection when applying in large quantities, because it smelled like you had a bottle of white vinegar under your nose and next to your eyes.

Good but skims quickly
Skims over faster than other silicones that I've used but otherwise it did the job and looks pretty good.
