Has worked brilliantly
Brilliant! I read the reviews of so many WiFi booster and extenders and decided to go with this one. Very easy to install with the app and has worked perfectly since. Had no internet drop outs at the far ends of the house since installing it and the signal even reaches out into the conservatory now even though it is plugged in upstairs. Would recommend.

An ok product
The TP-Link AC1200 Mesh Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender offers a mixed bag of performance in my experience. On the positive side, it works reasonably well, extending the Wi-Fi range and providing a boost to signal strength in certain areas. The range extender comes with some nice features. The setup process was relatively straightforward, and the device integration with the existing network was seamless. However, I've noticed some inconsistencies in the connection reliability. My devices occasionally lose signal, and there are times when they struggle to automatically connect to the extender. This intermittent loss of connection can be frustrating at times.

Powerful and easy to set up as a repeater
This is certainly more powerful than the last repeater I used. Could not get a reliable signal from that one through a double brick wall and mirrored wardrobe doors - I could get a 'flickering' one bar if I slide the wardrobe doors across. This new repeated laughs at the brick wall and mirrored wardrobe doors. Easy to set up - 1. plug into a 13 amp socket near the router, wait for blue power light to stop flashing, 2. press the WAP button on the router, 3 you than have 2 minutes to press the button on the side of TP link unit, this will clone your wifi SSID and password. The blue lights flash and after a few minutes settle down to steady blue for all 4 led. It adds an -EXT suffix to your router SSID and I had to put in the router password again when i tried to log on with my phone wifi - ( you can get apps to do all sorts of clever stuff with the unit, but all I wanted was a decent repeater with a bit of range ).

Excellent WiFi extender from TP-Link.
Excellent WiFi extender from TP-Link. This is a self contained WiFi repeater/extender that works flawlessly. It's my first piece of TP-Link network gear and after a little research, this seemed to be one of the items I kept coming back to. It's a plain white box with 4 LED indicators along the bottom showing power, link status and which of the WiFi signals is currently connected and being forwarded from this device ( 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz ) After reading the large instruction sheet, it seemed pretty straighforward and it was. I opted to use the Android app. called ' Tether '. After creating a Login & Password, it's as easy as following the on-screen prompts on your phone. As long as you have the router password and know the SSID you're golden. I was up and running with a phone and a tablet out in the back garden, a long way from the router wifi source with a decently strong signal. It's way stronger and faster than the previous Netgear repeater, by no less than six times faster and a full strong signal strength. I've been using it all afternoon since setting it up and have no issues at all. It is very unobtrusive and has no external antenna like the outgoing Netgear model which is a big plus, it's very lightweight and runs fairly cool. There's a little heat when under load, but barely noticeable and nothing to be concerned with. The LEDs are plain warm white when all is working well, and may change to red if there's an issue. It appears to be a fit and forget device which I appreciate. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with my first TP-Link device and really is great value for money.

Works great but this is my second one
This product works perfectly. Provides WiFi coverage to my whole house. Three stars because it is my second one in 3 years. Not really sure what went wrong with my first one as it was in my holiday let but I noticed it was no longer working, saying the device wasn't in range, even if it was right next to the router. Factory reset didn't help unfortunately. Decided to buy the same one as it worked so well and is reasonably priced. Hopefully this one will work for longer! Currently working great! Quick and easy to set up using the app.

Makes very little difference if any.
VERY complicated to add this device. It took lots of messing about to get it to link to my WIFI. I have the extended 7 metres from my router with direct line of sight and no barriers. I took my laptop to my garden studio so the house wall and garden studio wall between the extender and laptop. Distance 8 metres. Then these are the speeds. From my existing router (Full Fibre) in the house with direct line of sight while next to the extender: Download 111.5 Upload 27.0. Speed tested from the extender right next to the extender Download 65.0 and Upload 28.2. Speed test taken from my Garden Studio Download 2.16 and Upload 2.01. So if you want to set yourself up in an open field then you'll be smiling but from a house to a Studio/workshop with foil backed insulation good luck.

Easy-peasy, lemon squeezy
I recently encountered a situation whereby my router was being switched off by a terror-toddler which necessitated router relocation, and due to the placement of the Virgin Media cable this could only be to a far corner of our home. During winter this was fine as we weren't spending much time in the garden at the other end of the house, but now warmer weather has arrived things have changed and I'm finding that the WiFi is dropping out when sitting outside. This device was purchased for just over twenty Great British Pounds and is a bargain when compared to a new AX router or mesh system. I'm a gadget-lover and have never had trouble with such things, that has to be noted. From removing the product from its box, it was plugged in and the status light was flashing, a five second journey to the router and a push of the WPS button, then back again to push the same button on the device and one by one the lights for 2.4 and 5ghz also lit up and remained solid. No more than 30 seconds and two (my RT AC 3200 has one 2.4 and two 5ghz radios) extended WiFi connections appeared in the list of available networks on my phone suffixed with _EXT and simply required entry of the existing WPA2 password. It automatically extended the 2.4ghz and the first 5ghz radios. Signal is now strong in the garden, it has a Blink Mini camera, Netatmo, Blink Studio, Chromecast Ultra connected to it and its all flawless. It uses about two watts according to my IHD. As for any bad reviews, I would say as with any networking equipment, know what your requirements are and research because it's not one size fits all. If your house is mahoosive you're going to need more than one or a dedicated multi point mesh system. If your house has walls like Fort Knox, the 5ghz band from this won't pass through them any easier than the 5ghz band from your router. If you want OneMesh, you also require a OneMesh router. If you run a hotel, a small consumer device isn't what you require for your guest WiFi system. For what I need, it's perfect, it's cheap, it took 30 seconds to get up and running without any apps or setup other than plugging it in and pushing two WPS buttons. I'm on Virgin 200mb, as per the photo I get almost full speed sitting a few metres away from the device. If you have an AC band router, averaged size house and want to extend your network slightly, this is for you. If you live in Buckingham Palace and want to extend your network to the drawing room 400 metres away, probably not.

Good, easily disguisable, functional wifi extender - easy'ish to install.
Purchased to extend signal in a traditional built house, where wifi just did not extend to all parts. I'd choosen this extender as it was smaller and less intrusive than others. Due to be placed in socket on the wall of my hall landing i didn't want anything that 'stood out like a sore thumb'. This sits neatly and non obviously to the extent you wouldn't know it was there unless you really looked. Exactly what i was looking for Install is easy enough, however found it did take a little time. Once complete, up and running with ease This product certainly does extend the signal, to those areas it did not do before. On occasion, the signal does drop despite no obvious reason. I don't find it a major issue though, when it drops, it back up and running with a second or 2. Overall it's a great product, easily disguisable yet functional, for a good price.

Simple, and effective
Simple and effective. Easy to setup. Just works. The only issue is that even though the mkt material says that range is good for a very large house we dont feel it is. It has issues.

Sarebbe stato un ottimo prodotto. Purtroppo non era specificato nella descrizione del prodotto che la presa non era italiana e non ho potuto utilizzarlo
