It's very sturdy and easily withstands the abuse a toddler might put ...
Although it's a kid's toy, this ukulele is totally tunable and playable, which means not only can my son strum away on it, I can also play it for sing alongs and musical story books. It's very sturdy and easily withstands the abuse a toddler might put on it. The Mickey design makes it a prized possession for my tot...so much so he even sometimes sleeps with it.

Good value for money
My 3-yr old was crazy to get a guitar after he saw a couple of songs in which the singer had a guitar. Initially, we thought of getting him some musical guitar which would play music when some buttons were pressed. But then we thought that he would not get that "feel" of a real guitar. So, though skeptical, we got him this one. He really enjoys it. I feel it is preparing him to handle bigger guitars down the line since he is learning how to tighten the nylon strings and how different tensions in those strings make different sounds. The sounds are nowhere close to the real sounds but I think for a toddler this guitar might be a good stepping stone. One thing we really miss is that shoulder straps. My kid tries to mimic the singers but gets a bit disappointed when he finds that there are no straps to hang the guitar.

Great for a rockin' toddler
It may not be a real musical instrument but our 1 yo grandson loves it. It is well made and he can carry it around and bang it up without breaking it. It actually is quite attractive. You can kind of tune it to an open chord sound if you want

Product different than shown
While it came in decent condition and is similar to one we've had previously, it was not the one that was shown in the pictures. I received a blue Mickey Roadster ukulele, instead. Nothing in the description states that you may receive a different product than what is shown, leaving me somewhat disappointed in receiving a product that didn't match what I thought I was buying. Luckily, I doubt my son will mind that it isn't the one in the picture and will just be happy to play with it.

Very cheap should have cost 4.99
Very cheaply made.

It's alright.
I mean....it's not a legit guitar. So I didn't have a lot of expectations. Sound quality is crap when the kids strum it. But it's a play guitar, right? Meant for dreaming about becoming the next American Idol or something when you're 2 years old.

2 year old LOVES it!
Got this for our 2 yr old for Christmas. He was "strumming" anything he could including toy golf clubs, teddy bears etc. He loves this. It creates pleasant noise, can be tuned and it was around $20 so if he's a little rough (what 2 year old isn't?) we won't be devastated if it breaks. Hopefully it won't for a while because it's a great toy and he loves it. It is a basic starting point to learn general concepts of guitar playing.

Sounds good actually
I like this guitar for my 3 year old. I wish it came with a little sheet on tips for playing guitar/different musical notes, but that's just because I don't know anything about playing a guitar. Maybe a shoulder strap would have been nice too, but overall I love it because it's not a fake sound like those battery operated guitars and it sounds pretty good. It's also easy to tune.
