Great convertible top, nice quality and fit
Takes a few hours to install but mostly time consuming, nothing difficult. A second person is helpful at times, but not required (I'm also 6'2 tho...). I'm impressed with the material quality, even though I bought the standard model and not the more expensive twill model. Its a snug fit when you first install it, and smells of "manufacturing", so it was a great idea to let it sit in the sun with the windows down after install, so it can stretch and air out, before going for a drive. Folding the top back is very easy. Removing back and side windows takes a few minutes but its easy once you do it a couple times. Worst part is where/how to store the windows when you zip them out, so they dont blow around or get scratched up. Havent solved that yet. To access the back, open the swing gate and unzip rear window MOST of the way up. Then roll it up (roll to the inside, away from you, rather than toward you) and it will rest on the sport (roll) bar and actually stay put while you mess with cargo. Make sure your sport bars are clean or any grit can scuff the rear window where it rests (when rolled up). This is just for cargo access, I dont think it would stay here while driving; better removing it then. Nice open air feeling with everything open. Nice snug fit, but not too snug so its easy to work with. Impressively quiet when its up. No leaks. Great top! Standard open means front seats are totally uncovered, and rear seats are fully covered tho (the fold happens directly over the thick middle overhead speaker cross bar). Tip if you want more opening, over the back seats - keep a tool in the vehicle to remove the 3mm allens (2 each side) that hold the first cross bar, over the drivers head. With this bar freed (you're just letting it move, not actually removing it), you can put the top back another section, putting open sky over heads of rear seat passengers as well. It wont go ALL the way back, but gives them some sky overhead, maybe halfway across back seats. Yes it stays this way and you can drive with it; I've tested up to 50mph it doesnt move. To do this, you'll need to NOT attach the velcro to the cross bar that goes across the speaker bar (its a real pain to get to anyway, so skip it and leave detached here if you think you'll want to try the "full open" mod). My pictures show the "standard" opening.

Nice top!
Great quality, not hard to assemble and looks really nice! The initial assembly takes a little time, took me approximately 3.5 hours. After that, the top will come off and on in less than 30 minutes. Material is all top notch, clearly marked and nothing was missing. Canvas is thick and warm on the cool nights. The sunrider front piece opens effortlessly with one hand and closes in the same manner. This top is proving to be a great investment!

Nice top but the description could be better.
I like the top for what it is. But somehow I missed that it's not a full convertible top. Maybe a clearer description telling that this is a front seat flip back only. Overall though it does the job. It makes a nice "safari style" top. Installation is not bad. The rear snaps are the hardest part of the install to get snapped for me.

July 2020 Review-September update
First off understand that this is not a full retractably top. The sunrider very easily opens up above the front row. The 3 windows come off fairly easily but the second row stays covered in any scenario. Ultimately it looks great and fits tight.. Installation does seem very intimidating and I wonder why Bestop doesn't preassemble the pieces that can be although most products are like that. HIGHLY recommend: #1 following the 23 minute video made by Bestop and use the manual as reference. #2 be sure to have the tools they recommend. The parts do NOT come with any tools and if you have the exact ones they use it will go much easier. #3 do the preassembly work inside on a table #4 keep all the bolts, washers etc organized into a bowl or otherwise something to keep them organized. Most of them are VERY small can easily disappear. #5 figure out in advance what bolts are what by #, you'll see what i mean I believe if you are super organized and have a second person doing the opposite side of all steps you could do it in 2 hours, else yes its a slightly challenging 4 hour process. UPDATE: Iโve had the top a couple of months now and I have upgraded the assessment to 5 stars. Always thought it was more than 4 but now after months of usage I have no complaints. Very easy to work with and doesnโt leak that Iโm aware of. I am not sure itโs a manufacturer suggested option but I can now fully โretractโ it but undoing the Velcro and snaps in the back and tucking the back part under the sunrider. Basically itโs a hack. Even at high speeds nothing moves. So now I have a fully uncovered soft top for less than $1k

Don't waste your money/long analysis
I'd give this product zero stars it Amazon would allow it. When searching for a softop alternative to OEM for my Jeep JK, all signs pointed to Bestop. I purchased and was very pleased with the NX Glide I ultimately purchased. After purchasing a new Jeep JL, I immediately turned to Bestop for a new softop for it. Unfortunately, for as much as I loved the Glide for my JK, I hate the NX Trek for my JK. First, it should be made abundantly clear, this is not a fully convertible top. The product description does not make this clear. I called Bestop and was told that possibly next year (2020) a fully convertible model will be available. Now to the extremely poor quality of this product as I've experienced: 1. Far and away the most annoying aspect: The flapping rear window as noted by other reviewers and shown in the user video on the Amazon product page. This is a serious defect not readily apparent upon install but which grows worse and worse as the product stretches, particularly in the heat. I live in the Midwest. We're not talking Death Valley heat here. There's nothing like driving down the highway with what sounds like a search and rescue chopper landing in your back seat. The rear window on the NX Glide for my JK utilized plastic J channel type connector that attached the rear window to the side windows that I think added rigidity. This model utilizes zippers which are obviously flexible. 2. More to the rear window: As others have noted, the bottom of the rear window bar does not seal against the rear door. I think Bestop remedied this from earlier reviews by including a gasket/seal that goes over the rear door of the Jeep but it still is not a complete seal. 3. Even more to the rear window: The bottom bar of the rear window does not stay in the receivers/boots for the bar. I attribute this to two flaws: A. The boots/receivers are molded plastic and are presumably intended to custom fit the corners of the Jeep - except that they do not. As a result, the boots migrate to the interior of the Jeep when the bar is seated in the boot or during travel and the bar flips up. One remedy would have been to have 2 anchor points for the boot, but instead there is only one central anchor that allows the boot to pivot causing an unstable bottom window bar. B. The receivers/boots are made of a less than rigid plastic that is even less so on a warm midwest day. This means that the tab (located on the window bar) and slot (located on the boot), meant to keep the bottom bar in place on the boot and not release, are rendered useless. The plastic is not rigid enough to lock together and prevent the bar from releasing from the boot and flipping up while the vehicle is in motion. Combined with the flotation of the boot, keeping the bottom bar secured in place is challenging. C. The plastic tabs on the rear window meant to insert under the Jeep factory change suffer from bring too long and too short at the same time. The design of the top places the tabs away from the channel so that a long tab is necessary, yet it hardly provides what I would call a snug fit. The tabs actually need to curve to the l meet the channel yet the shallow depth of the channel means that very little of the tab is locked into the channel. The tab/channel combination is insufficient to secure the lower window bar and keep it from springing open. 4. The side windows attach to the mainframe by way of a plastic J hook Bestop refers to as a"Stiffener" that holds to the metal from of the top. The plastic is also of a poor quality and broke several weeks ago on one of my rear windows. The NX Glide for my JK utilized a metal peg which inserted into a hard rubbers like hole on the main from, was well built and secure. The plastic J hook is a break waiting to happen, which didn't wait long in my case. To exacerbate matters, I emailed and then called Bestop when no answer was received. I informed the rep that I had a vacation pending and needed the replacement part rather soon and was assured it was on it's way. When it didn't come (after 2 weeks) I called again and was told it was not in stock. I suggested that they open a box with the entire top in it, remove the part, send it to me, and replace it when the part came into stock. I was told this couldn't be done. I would argue that it could have been done but that it wouldn't be done for who knows what reason. Instead, I was forced to manufacture a part to suit, which is probably more durable anyway but which should have been unnecessary but for a minor bit of customer service and good will to a repeat customer. 5. The main frame cover is held in place, in part, with Velcro across the back bar of the main frame. The user is required to apply the hook and loop to the frame in places his self. Unsurprisingly, a little Midwest heat (again we're not talking about Death Valley or Texas or really any point South of Minnesota) caused the Velcro to come unattached from the back bar of the main frame. This product is badly flawed. It was either rushed to market or is representative of a new Bestop standard of quality. I would not and will not recommend any Bestop product for a Jeep JL until strong verification by Jeep owners indicates that the high standard many of us Jeep owners have/had for Bestop tops has returned, design flaws remedied and maybe just importantly, good customer service has returned. Either go with OEM or wait to see how Bestop approaches the very inferior product. ***The photos depict the various issues and my attempts to Jerry rig the top so that it didn't completely ruin our 9 day Western road trip. Unfortunately, my rigging didn't work and as a result, my kids were lost in this headphones and devices to drown out the noisiness of the faulty top and my wife and I were limited to minimal conversation due to the din, or rather, reached l racket eminating from the rear of the top.

Great summer substitute for the hard top
The frame comes partially assembled but overall install took almost 3 hours. Instructions are confusing at times but I viewed YouTube videos along with the instructions and worked through trouble-spots pretty easily. Great top - the design is awesome and easy to use.

Expected better, based on online reviews and ratings.
Leaks at the carwash. Rattles going down the road. Some parts fit too tight, some too loose. Button top screws are of a poor metal quality, easily stripping out the heads. Factory applied velcro strips are in the wrong locations. Instructions are inaccurate and confusing, leading to an incorrect install and slight part damage. That's okay, because they will happily sell you a replacement. And charge $15 shipping for a 4 ounce replacement bracket. Twill material is high quality. It's nice to have the piece of mind to go semi-topless on a longer drive. But for the price (and considering how over hyped these are), quite a disappointment.
