Perfect entry level Spyderco
If you're looking to try Spyderco for the first time, this knife is a perfect introduction to the brand. Sturdy, sharp, and well-made knife, and while it doesn't have one of the exotic steels of a more expensive Spyderco, it will get any job done for you with ease. The handle is solid and feels great in the hand. The operation is smooth, and the liner lock is sturdy. It's a little heavy, but sometimes I enjoy that in a pocket knife. Great value from a great brand.

Great knife. Deployment angle is not the same as other Spyderco knives
The angle on the deploy is not optimal. Great knife. Very slicey.

Good for money
Very sharp and feels good quality but the belt clip seemed to be made of aluminum it bent back so far it wouldn’t clip back on securely and I went to bend it back and the whole thing popped off, I don’t see it as a huge deal since it’s my work knife now but still I expected it to last longer than a few days before getting loose

Great Value
My Benchmade Bugout is in the shop for annual maintenance, so I decided to try this one out. Spyderco is a venerable brand for good reason. This edc is excellent for what it is. The steel is solid and sharper than most folks will ever need. It's a very good looking knife. The proportions look just right. It feels good in my fairly big left hand. The action is smooth, but I can't imagine it will ever be good enough to flick open, like my Bugout. The linerlock seems to be about as good as that technology can get. It has a two step close, with a noticeable detent at about 45°. That takes a little bit of getting used to, but I don't resent that safety feature. It's got enough heft that you'll never forget it's in your pocket, but not much more. The two position clip is elegant and effective. In all, this is a great value. It's a combination of lower-cost tech that makes a credible stab at the more expensive edc's. I'm glad I got this one.

Young knife having a major issue already
Really liked this knife, but when in use it’s folding in on itself. It’s basically half a year old with minimal use and I’m having a pretty critical issue with this tool. Like how it looks and feels, but this I didn’t anticipate needing to contact support so soon after buying… Update: to send this in for warranty evaluation, you need to pay to have it shipped and then pay to have it shipped back. This is approx. 1/3 the total price of the knife. Definitely regretting this purchase. Will not be buying again.

Spyderco is one of the best for the reason
I've had this knife as my edc for about 4 months now. The rust spot on the Spyderco logo comes from me trying to clean off tape residue on my blade with a Clorox wipe and not drying it correctly. I use this for everything, it's my beater knife for work. My coworker dinged up the edge trying to cut a thick gauge wire so I had to resharpen it. After a couple passes it was good as knew slicing through paper like a a hot knife through butter. I would definitely recommend this as an inexpensive work knife that can take a lot of punishment. Only con is the type of steel but for this price it's just fine. Just gotta sharpen it a little more often than other steels. No biggie for me.

Ends up in my pocket daily so far...
This gets carried a lot over some other more expensive knives. It just fits my hand really well. It has a bit of heft to it but for me it is in a good way. I can flick it open as quick as an automatic. Haven't put it through anything tough yet but 8CR13MoV is pretty tough steel. I've seen Spyderco's 8CR steel test pretty high on the Rockwell scale - around 60 which is shockingly up there with D2. That speaks to Spyderco's heat treat although I wonder if at that hardness it might end up being a little more brittle than normal. Time will tell I guess.

Disappopinting quality
This is a Spyderco knife that was made in China. To be blunt, this a poorer quality knife than a $20 Ganzo. The finish is rough, and it doesn't want to deploy with a flick of the thumbhole. You basically have to open it with two hands. The only real positives here are the pocket clip, which is nice, and the size, which is smaller than most Spyderco knives, and any Ganzo knives. It doesn't have the overt appearance of a weapon. It is slowly loosening up with use, but not nearly as good as a Ganzo is out of the box. I would not buy this one again.

Great little knife added to my collection quality and value for the money

Nichts zu beanstanden. Alles einwandfrei. Sehr scharf.
