This is the best shoe/boot cleaner! It's the perfect width even for heavy boots and the brushes last a long time. We've had one for many years and just bought replacement brushes. Had to buy another one for the back door.

This is a well made boot scrubber with wood sides and a metal frame. The bristles are stiff and work well on an average work boot. I haven't had a chance to test it against thick, insulated snow boots. While the unit has some weight, it's not enough to run a boot through without it moving. They have optional metal plates, but I chose to screw it to a 3' piece of 12" PTL and that's works well. I just step on one side while I clean the other boot. Quality product. Well worth the money.

I picked the Scrusher because I thought it was better looking then the competing products. It comes with two heavy duty stainless, self-tapping screws and installed in a few minutes with a powered screw gun. You will want to press firmly down on the screws with screw gun and use low speed to torque them down otherwise you may risk spinning the heads when driving the fat screws into pressure treated deck. The phillips screw heads are pretty deep and rugged so the powered screw gun got a good bite with enough pressure. You will not want to tackle this job if you don't have a powered device to drive screws because it would dramatically increase the install time and most likely give you carpal tunnel. I positioned at angle to left of door to inside of house so you could hold the storm door handle while "scrushing" off mud, snow, etc... It feels solid and the firm brushes clean the bottoms and sides of your shoes in just a couple passes. Works great!

A most excellent product I have used for years. Sadly, when I leave it outside for years it does eventually degrade, so I just order up another one about every 6 or 7 years or so. I mount it on a board about 20 inches long and so I can step on one end and use the brush area vigorously, my weight on the board keeps it perfectly stable. Most years I just pick it up in the fall and put it in the garage for the winter, but when I forgot a couple of years and it gets covered in New England snow, it doesn't really do it any favors. But that's my own fault. Great product, totally reliable. Just bring it in if you live in a wintery zone and it will last a long time.

Had to mount on a board to hold in place with other foot to use it but it does a great job once you learn how to use it! But it must be fixed to something in order to hold it in place for use!
