Can anyone give me details as to how quickly this rips regular cd's?  How many per hour?  Etc.

Depends on the CD and Nimbie Settings, but rips on average 3-5 minutes per CD... if you have it setup correctly and very clean unscratched CDs you can load overnight and awake, and the are done..  The caveat is there are always CDs that have errors.. a CD with erros may take 9-12 minutes to rip or it will fail and stall your progress. This Nimbie is a great unit... no regrets

Question 2

I have a mac and can run windows on it through bootcamp.  is it possible to use the pc-windows software for ripping cds to a hard disk? thanks

It's possible to operate the autoloader on Mac which is running Windows through bootcamp. However, if your Mac doesn't have USB2/3 ports, and must use a USB-C adapter, hardware compatibility issues may occur and the autoloader may not be recognized correctly.

It's recommend to have Nimbie autoloader directly connected to a computer, and avoid using USB adapter or hubs.

Question 3

I have 1000 dvds that are not copyright protected...approx how long might it take to copy all these to an ext. harddrive via usb 3.0 using autoloader?

Assuming all DVDs are in good condition, it would depend on how much data is on each DVD. Reading/copying a full DVD (4.7GB) at 16X would take around 15~20 minutes per disc. It would take ~30 hours for a Nimbie to process each batch of 100, total of 1,000 would be around ~300 hours.
