I love Seche Vite top coat, recently ran out, tried another option, with beyond lousy results, & went right back to Seche!
I love Seche Vite top coat, recently ran out my last bottle, tried another option, with beyond lousy results, & went right back to Seche Vite! I do my own natural nails & painting them seems to help keep them strong & have less breakage. I watched a few youtube videos about a year back, in which the nails were finished with a coat of Seche Vite, which I hadn't heard of before. I was impressed by the results & how fast the top coat dried, so I tried out a bottle & now I realize, there really is quite a difference in top coat quality & how it can make or break a good nail look. It worked just as demonstrated, with beautiful results, I've had people asking where I get my nails done because of how even & glossy they look, plus, this stuff dries so fast! It sets in just a few minutes & I can, & have had to, take a shower about an hour after using it. My nails look just fine after! I usually paint my nails in the evening, & when I use this top coat my nails aren't messed up at all from the bedsheets or from me moving around. They stay nice & shiny for days & keep the color well protected, with just slight wear at the tips, until I take it off to repaint them, usually once or twice a week. If I paint another color over the old & top it with another layer of Seche, I can usually just peel off most of the nail polish, in one satisfying peel, without even having to use nail polish remover, when I decide to redo my nails the third time (about 3 to 5 days later). That includes the base coat of polish I always use too. I recently ran out & used a bottle of a different brand of quick dry top coat instead, yikes! What a mess. My nail color, black that time, looked only slightly shiny & very streaky & the top coat felt like it never quite dried, even after a few days. The nail color ended up dented, scraped & scratched, plus the tips chipped within a few days too, so I just took it all off & gave my natural nails a break for a few days until my new order of Seche arrived. I painted my nails, as usual, finishing with Seche, & yes indeed, they looked gorgeous again. What a difference! This time I ordered the refill kit, so I won't run out again, at least not for a while! I do also have the Seshe Restore, which helps thin out the Seche Vite if it gets too thick to use (since it is quick drying), & it can also be used to thin out regular nail polish as well & a little goes a long way. I highly suggest it, if you get Such Vite.

Best top coat I have used.
Dried quickly and doesn't mess up the freshly applied polish underneath. Very, very shiny. Does seem to thicken up if you take awhile to apply it. I actually did get a small ding in one nail about 15 minutes after I put it on and by morning, I couldn't see where it had been. It does smell at first but it doesn't last long. I have one nail with a few deep ridges, but it also seemed to minimize the appearance. I must have at least 8 different brands of top coat, some quite expensive but this one looks the best by far. Now to see durability and if it chips, and also any difficulty in removing. I hope it doesn't take 5 minutes in acetone to soak off. Acetone seems to be really destructive to my cubicles and nails. So far though, I love this brand.

You won't buy another brand again!
This is by far the best top coat. I have used many different brands including Essie, OPI, cheaper drugstore brands... throw them away. Your trouble is over if you buy this huge bottle of Seche Vite Top Coat. This large bottle lasts me about 1 year. I am on my 4th one. That is how much I paint my nails, scary I know. But I do all of my own nail care at home. And the few times I do go to salons, I just get super angry that they are not using seche vite. This top coat is extremely glossy and people are constantly asking me, "are those gel nails?" And I of course say no, they are seche nails. This will make your nails extremely shiny. And it lasts for days. I work in an ER and I wash my hands and use hand sanitizer constantly, probably 40 times per day at minimum. This top coat is the only thing that keeps my nails looking good. After about 3 days of constant handwashing, sometimes it does look a bit dull. So I honestly just apply another coat if there are not too many chips. And its like my nails are good as new again. Some people talk about the chemicals in seche vite. I think this is all just conspiracy created by gluten free vegans. And if these chemicals are bad for me, I really don't care. Because this product will change your life. Seche has a fairly strong smell, maybe that is why people are worried. I never really noticed the smell until I applied polish in an airplane bathroom on my way to Napa. The flight attendant could smell my freshly painted nails from across the plane. She let me know that apparently it is against the rules to apply nail polish on a plane. Which is ridiculous, but whatever. If you are someone who is always doing your nails at home and you love good products, you should invest in this kit. You will not regret it.

Takes a good looking mani to a spectacular looking mani!
One of the really great things about Amazon is the reviews. I've always used Out the Door Top Coat, which gives a decent shine - but I'm doing multiple layers and nail art now and was looking here on Amazon for a recommended fast dry product. Read all the great reviews and decided to give this a try. I took the reviewers at their word and ordered the bottle with refill. Glad I did! Last night I did my nails, Laid down a coat of Yellow Stop and then a base coat, then on to the polish. Like happens to all of us, I got one coat on and hated the color, so I tried a different color. Still not happy with the color. Then I remembered the Cherry Bomb Ombre look I had seen on the OPI website. I didn't want to take all those already laid down coats off, so I just applied 2 more coats of OPI Amore on the Grand Canal and then sponged on O Suzie Mio and Black Onyx. (Love the look!!!!!) But now I had all these coats on and wanted to make sure it was dry. Applied the Seche Vite - and it knocked my socks off!!. Within 90 seconds or so it was dry to the touch and by the time I went to bed an hour later it had dried rock hard. And what a GLORIOUS shine!! This morning, no sheet marks after putting on all those layers - and the shine was still there. Best of all, everywhere I went today, people were grabbing my hands and asking "what salon did that"?.."who did your nails?"......"I didn't know you started getting gel manicures - who did it?"......"that's really sexy - where did you get it done"?? LOVED the compliments. So - here it is, 24 hours later, I've had my hands in dishwater, clipped dogs and got oil and various grooming products on my hands, scrubbed the kitchen floor and got vinegar on my hands - and that shine is still there!! I will NEVER be without this product again. Edited to add: I still give this product 5 stars. However, while it is great for most applications, it will absolutely destroy foils, especially the metallic holographic ones. I'm also finding it's best not to apply this product over loose glitter. Even using another top coat and then applying the SV damages foils and dulls and flattens loose glitter. I'm guessing the chemical composition that allows it to reach down through multiple layers to dry them all is why it doesn't play well with delicate foils and glitters. It works fine to dry coats UNDER foils and glitters but not on top of them. This is still my fav top coat but for foils and loose glitter, Trugel Top Coat seems to work best for me.

Lemme just say. I was introduced to Seche Vite a while ago via YouTuber. I thought, what the hell, I'll buy into it. Sweet goodness, I can't use any other top coat AT ALL now. It's bad. This dries fast. Obviously. You will be so much less likely to ruin your manicure. When I use another topcoat, I'm astounded by how long it takes for it to dry. And then, right when I think that it is, boom. Smudging. -_________- I'm a nail perfectionist. I hate smudging; I hate chipping. But I'm also impatient, or at least easily distracted. We all know that right when we've finished painting our nails is when we have to start cooking dinner or drive somewhere or find something. Most unfortunate. Seche Vite makes life a lil bit easier. That being said, you can touch the top of your nails probably within a minute or two of the topcoat and it won't leave a fingerprint. However, if your nails rub up against something, it will smudge. It dries from the top down, so it can be misleading. But light brushing against things does not harm your manicure. You will need to purchase Seche Restore. This is fast drying. It will dry out in the bottle, especially because of the refilling bottle. However, I purchased this kit because it's cheaper. Plus the Seche Restore also works on other nail polishes. Seche Restore comes with a little dropper and it'll thin out the Seche Vite as it thickens in the bottle. However, the more Seche Restore that you use, the sooner your manicure will chip. Honestly, because I'm so anal about chipping, that makes my manicures last maybe about 3-4 days. Sometimes 2. No ideal. But what is ideal is quick dry time, so I compromise. The appearance is beautiful. It has an ultra glossy finish and your nails look perpetually wet. Glorious. The scent, however, is off putting. But, one could argue that the scent of all nail polish is off putting. Don't do your nails in a room sans ventilation. Would I purchase again? Silly question, as I've repurchased probably 5 times. Try the single bottle first, then dabble in the bigger kits because you'll want to make sure that you like it. Because like I said, to use this, you will need the Seche Restore.

Best Top coat I've used in a long time
Friend of mine had this and raved about it so decided to give it a go. Its amazing. Just buy it. Current nails are going on a week with zero chips and I'm very rough with my nails so often polish doesn't last to long unless i go get Shellac done at a salon, but this seems to be holding strong and the application is very nice. Goes on super smooth and it really does dry fast, I've used many "fast drying" top coats but this definitely exceeded expectations and it was definitely hard and sturdy very fast, I didn't time it but compared to others that get hard but still dent this didn't do that so that was a huge difference. Though that said you have to paint your nails properly, if you dont let each layer dry well doesn't matter how nice the top coat is, so do yourself a favor and take the few extra minutes in between coats cause that helps in the long run in drying application and longevity. I also bought the base coat that goes with this and it also works very well. I dont know that it necessarily is any better than other base coats but it does the job and also dries very quickly, so I'd recommend getting both.
