Works Fine
I saw this featured in a YouTube video to reduce the noise of a shop vac AND diffuse the blowing action from the blower port of the shop vac. The blower port had always been a frustration for me in my woodworking shop because it blew all the fine dust particles everywhere. This adaptor diffuses the blast of exhaust air so it partially eliminates the problem AND make the shop vac a little quieter, too!

Best at filtering dust
Excellent at filtering dust. I've had mine on my shop vacuum for 4 years now and it keeps working. Like other reviewers have noted, it's not really a muffler but is excellent at keeping the dust in the vacuum.I use my vac in the basement and before this device I rarely used may shop vacuum because it made a bigger mess than it picked up. So for the price, especially if your using a shop vac inside get one of these.
