VIZIO D-Series 24” Class LED HDTV Smart TV - D24f-G9 (Renewed)

Our little Fire tv went out and we needed just a small TV to replace it. We hated the Fire TV because it would always put on some programing that we didn't ask for. This was a refurbished, smart TV and we couldn't be happier! The picture is nice and after adjusting the sound in the settings, the sound is good too. This TV was better than we expected.

Got it for work in a bridge house. Sound quality isn't great but it gets plenty loud enough which works for me. I couldn't even hear the old box tv that was here. For the price and to be shared with 4 co workers, this is perfect. On the attached video, I have the volume set at 80% and that's too loud in this little room. Picture quality is pretty great. You can't tell so much from the video because of the glare, (12 windows) but even with all this sunlight coming in I can see the picture pretty good. So far we have only used antenna with it. If I learn how to use my phone data or cast I'll be able to watch movies from Netflix and Amazon. I haven't figured out how yet. All in all, it's been a great buy so far.

Easy setup, picture quality perfect

I could not be happier with my purchase. Another Amazon Renewed product that is in excellent condition. Set up with a breeze. I received a lot of answers from others who purchased the TV on how easy set up/assembly was and they were right on the mark. Thanks to all who answered my question. The only assembly required was the legs (two) had to be screwed in with a Phillips screwdriver to serve as a stand. The only negative is that the screws do not go in very far so the stand/legs don't feel sturdy. Cosmetic-wise the TV is in perfect condition. After plugging in the TV I had to connect to WIFI. The TV also required updating. The process took about 15 minutes because the TV shuts itself off twice automatically. I read some of the reviews where sound quality is not great and I agree. Fortunately, I have a sound bar. For added peace of mind I purchased an additional two-year Asurion Protection Plan. As you can see the picture quality is great.

I use it for a computer monitor. Great quality for the money. Only thing that’s frustrating. No way to operate expect remote. Also - at first worked. Now when I turn it back on it don’t recognize the h 1 connection as usable. So I click to h2 then back to h 1 and it works fine. There may be a reason, but nothing changed and it once worked. It auto shuts off if not active on the computer. Not thrilled with that either. But the quality of picture is nice.

Received my TV a week before the estimated delivery date and it works as if it was brand new, no issues at all. Got this for the guest room in my house and it’s perfect for that role. It included the remote (not a generic remote but one for the TV) and new batteries for it. The seller did not include the stands by mistake, I didn’t plan to wall mount the set, but I contacted the seller who responded the same day/ within a few minutes and shipped out a set of stands the following day as well as a tracking number for the package.

March 2024 product update; New Vizio and Google terms of service now forced upon consumers when you start the TV, either you agree to allowing your TV to perpetually listen to everything you say and monitor your viewing habits or you can't access any software features. Looks like I'll be buying a Roku to plug into this piece of crap so I can circumvent at least a few companies overzealous data harvesting practices but I absolutely cannot recommend anybody by a Vizio product ever after this terms of service update. ---original review--- The bad; - User Interface; laggy, slow to respond. - Forced Bloatware apps and required visio account creation to access ANY functions. -720p -Speaker quality is meh, which is not surprising at all considering the whole thing weighs probably 2 lb The good; It's cheap-ish and comes with a remote. TL/DR; If you absolutely have to replace a TV in a hurry or are on a tight budget aren't too worried about all the bells and whistles it'll get the job done ...but just barely.
