I purchased a complete Topens Dual Gate Opener setup (A La Carte) including: PW502 Opener, TC196 WiFi Remote, ERM12 Remote, TC175P Wired Keypad, TEW3 Vehicle Sensor Wand, and ET24 Gate Lock. After setting up and adjusting the gate travel, everything works as expected. One significant issue I had to work thru with the support staff at Topens was the inconsistent operation of the TC196 WiFi Remote that works via your smartphone. Although my indoor setup is well within the 230 meters from the gate controls (mine is about 50 meters at the most), the operation was inconsistent. It may work one day and not that afternoon. After several exchanges with Topens support, they suggested an external antenna ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094MW1YMV/) that has fixed the issue. One additional tip I would offer is when you are setting up the TC196, the "paring" sequence MUST be done as fast as possible. It appears the main board only has a few seconds to press the momentary switch on the main board, then press "A" on phone, have lights flash and press "A" on phone again. It took me multiple tries to get it programmed. Again, after solving the issues with the TC196, all the operations of the gate and related components appear to be working as expected. Thanks again to the support at Topens for assistance in getting everything working!

DO NOT BUY!!! Read complete review!!! Updating review 11/12/21. Customer service is amazing. They reached out to me, sent me a new one and followed up to make sure everything works. New sensor is working good with no issues. Shelley With Topens is by far the best Customer service agent I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Update as of 4/29/2023 So the first initial wand failed within a year. Topens Customer support stepped in and made that right. So here I from purchase in 2020 to not even a year later having to dig up and replace this wand. This wand was replace in November of 2021. And now April of 2023, the Topens Wand has failed again. So i got less then a year from the first one, and a year and months out of the second one. So of coarse it is out of warranty, but tried anyways. And of coarse Topens will not warranty it, not because it is out of their 1 year warranty, but because there is not a warranty on the replaced item. Only the original purchase. So 2 wand that cost almost $200 can not even last 2 years without having to be replaced. The product is crap. Customer service was originally good, but if I have to replace this product ever year, then it is not worth the money to begin with, lets not forget that ever time this things STOPS working, I have to dig it up to replace it. DO NOT BUY!!!! Keep in mind, if their wand fails this much and this fast, how well do the rest of Topens products hold up. Biggest mistake ever made was Purchasing a Topens gate open system. Definitely will find a different brand when the main components fail. Which judging by the way their wands hold up, I am sure wont be much longer.

The design needs some work. Works well when it sees the vehicle. So many vehicles have a lot of fiberglass instead of metal. It does not respond to fiberglass.

I have purchased many TOPENS product but this one was the only one I had issues with. After about 10 months it stopped working. I contacted customer service and they guided me through some troubleshooting. We came to the conclusion that the exit sensor itself was faulty. TOPENS honored their 12 month warrant and sent me a replacement without a hassle. I got it installed and my gate is fully operational again. Thank you Nancy from Customer service!

5 star service from Nancy at customer support. I purchased this product last November (2024) for my vacation home and everything worked perfectly for 11 months. The exit wand stopped working just before my 1 year warranty was up. I contacted customer support and Nancy asked me to perform a few troubleshooting steps. Since it was at my vacation home, it took a couple months to get back there to do the requested steps (pushing it past my warranty period) . After trying the troubleshooting steps with no success, they honored the warranty and sent a replacement without any hassle. Many companies will play games when you are so close to the end of your warranty, but not Topens. Thank you Nancy for all of your help🙏

The exit wand made the Topens gate system I installed a lot more practical when leaving the from inside the property. Installation was a breeze. I did have issues with the unit 8 months after installation though. I contacted customer support (Zack) and he provided me with trouble shooting for the system. After we went through the steps to diagnose the problem, the wand was defective, Zack sent out a new wand, at no charge! I cannot say enough about the customer service, it was really nice to have competent people at the other end of the line. Edit: Well after 7 months working it quit again, same issue, the wand was NFG. Contacted customer support and the warranty on the “original “ purchase was over. As stated by the customer support “your warranty is over, please purchase another.” I stated that this was basically a new product and that the warranty should have been extended, they said that’s not the case, warranty is on the original purchase only…..doesn’t that blow all?!?! You think I’ll purchase something that has a pretty high failure rate? Not a chance!
