The LEXIVON Torch is shipped with no butane. This is done for safety reasons. Please use only high-quality butane that made for torches and jet lighters. If the wrong butane is used, the torch can clog and sputter. Make sure to use only butane was refined at-least 3 times. Can you weld silver jewelry with this product?

Dont use this for silver jewelry. Does not keep the piece hot enough to melt the solder. Ive tried. Use a real torch.

Which premium refined butane fuel is best to use? what brands are recomended?

I use Neon Universal Gas Lighter Refill 11x Premium Butane (300ml cans) that works well and is quite affordable.

What is the difference between this and model LX-770?

A few differences that I'm aware of are the LX-770 is a "pencil' type torch that has a 75 minute run time as opposed to the 120 minute run time of this torch. Also the flame on this torch adjusts from 1/2" to 3". The LX-770 adjusts from 1/2" to 2 1/2".
