Great, Comfortable X-Box style controller for my PS4 with all the features of the dual shock 4
I bought this controller and the Hori Onyx at the same time to compare. This blows the Hori Onyx out of the water. I did not want some super expensive pro style controller with extra buttons and features. I simply wanted a PS4 controller with Xbox style joystick placement. I prefer xbox controllers for FPS games and honestly for most games in general. This controller fits comfortably in my hand when playing FPS games like COD and other Non - FPS games as well. Most recently I'm using it to play Final Fantasy 7 Remake (a non first person shooter). The triggers buttons (L2 and R2) are slightly different from the dual shock 4 but nothing that you will not get used to in a couple of sessions and it does not hinder performance in the least. I read reviews saying the headset connection had problems but when I use this with my headsets (I have more than one) they perform just fine. The controller is missing **ONE** feature that comes on the dual shock 4 and that is the motion sensor light bar. I found this to be a complete non-issue with the games I play as none use this feature. In general only a small handful of PS4 games (something like only 5%) even use this feature and it's mostly for gimmicks. The overwhelming majority of the most popular titles do not use it at all. Not having this feature gave me slight pause for concern until I realized even the majority of expensive $200 pro gaming controllers don't come with it. And if it's any consolation the controller does come with a small battery indicator "light" on the top side so there's that lol. As I mentioned above I bought this and the Hori Onyx at the same time to compare. The Hori Onyx was completely uncomfortable to play with. The sizing of the controller is a bit smaller than it needs to be on the handles, and as a result it throws off your gameplay significantly. Also the trigger buttons (L2 and R2) on the Hori Onyx are spongy and feel strange to press. I only mention this to give a true review and comparison to the Nacon Asymmetric controller and let people know not all 3rd party controllers with this layout are acceptable. Some just miss the mark in terms of comfort and gameplay, however the Nacon does not. In summary if you are looking for a comfortable wireless PS4 controller with the X-Box style joystick layout I think you will be highly satisficed. It's the best bang for the buck I've seen thus far. General Comfort: 10/10 Button Quality: 10/10 Trigger Buttons: 9/10 Battery Life: 10/10 (Personally haven't had any issues. I'd estimate it's equal to the dualshock 4's 8 hour life). I tend to play 6 hours at a time. Joystick Comfort: 9/10 (I wish they had slightly more resistance but it's honestly fine) Headset Jack: Yes Audio Quality: 9/10 Wireless: Yes Wireless Connectivity and Response: 10/10

Great third party option
Since my official wireless controllers stopped connecting for some reason, I had to go with a wired one for about a year. This option uses a usb dongle plugged into the ps4 so it allows me to return to wireless control again. The different placement of the left stick and D-pad is no biggie for me but as others have mentioned the light is needlessly too bright and a bit distracting but I can overlook that issue to be able to play wirelessly. Connection is good, the controller itself feels of good quality. I’m happy with it.

Functional and fitting
I am a petite Xbox player. This makes the Nacon PS4 pad a great item for me when on Playstation. The asymmetric joysticks are comfortable for use because my small hands can reach the left stick in particular more easily. It is lightweight and comfortable to hold. R&L 1 have nice clicks, R&L 2 offer good resistance, R&L 3 are exactly as you'd expect with a firm click in. This should come with a short charging cable but if you'd like to use wired you should buy separately. Mine was purchased second hand and the cable was missing but of little matter to me as I wanted a 3m anyway. Check with the seller if this is a concern. Won't make Dark Souls any easier but is a great all rounder. I would buy another after rage lobbing this one when I get to Elden Ring.

Just not what I was hoping for
Overall build quality is nice, and it feels good in the hand. There are a few things I just couldn't get around, and I had to return it. The first being the LED on the front under the PS button, It is unnecessarily bright. I have no idea why, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change it. It really doesn't serve a purpose other than to exist in your peripheral vision the whole time. My second issue is with the triggers. Nacon use the same trigger design on all of their controllers it seems, and to me, they just don't feel right. From the images you can tell they need to be pushed in at a sort of diagonal angle, I find it seriously unnatural. Better than the DS3, worse than the DS4. Third, the sticks. Not the placement - the placement is great, that's why we're all looking at this. This one I feel might just be me, but they felt cheap. Compared to an actual DS4 I feel like the deadzone was different, and they were overall much stiffer. This might have been fine after some time to adjust, I only had it a few days. Lastly it has to lose points for the USB adapter, but Sony is at fault for this as well. The PS4 only has two USB ports, if you've got a Sony headset as well, that's all of your ports going to bluetooth peripherals. Nothing left for charging, media, and most importantly external storage, which is becoming increasingly necessary. A USB hub would fix this at the cost of cleanliness and possibly connectivity. I am desperate for a xbox-style PS4 controller. I've tried the Hori, Nacon Revolution pro 2, even the Brook X One adaptor for the Xbox One controller. Unfortunately none of them were without their flaws, and it's the same story here.

Great piece of kit. Excellent for the alternative user. Would recommend.
Does what it says on the tin. You may need to update your settings in game. I did because I was using the nacon rev pro. Going from a normal dual shock should be fine. I got this for fighting games soulcalibur mainly and it easily translates to shooting games, apex Cod, the likes. Even works well with smite. Asymmetrical is the way forward imo. It's sturdy and has been dropped many times with no issues. Only gripe I have is it doesn't turn the ps on when you hit the ps button on the controller. The Bluetooth stick has a great range and the fact it has a headset port is a game changer! The rev pro was wired and with the wired headsets feedback would ensue. That's gone now!

Better than the original Sony Controller
I did take it as replacement for my 7 year old Sony Controller. I like the asymmetric controllers a lot (had a xbox long time ago) and so I thought I give it a try. For me - and I can just speak for myself - it's the best controller I had so far. It's perfect in my hands, every button can be reached easily and the control is more precise than before. That also means you need a bit time to get used to it. I especially had this experience with Moto GP but in the meantime I'm able to say it's better and lots more fun to play than it ever was. Plus - I'm able to play a lot longer without my left thumb beginning to hurt. I had this also in racing games before very often. But now - no problem at all. So for me it is the perfect controller and hopefully everyone reading and buying the Nacon makes the same experience, which I - of course - can't guarantee. Have fun and happy and successful gaming to you all :)

It doesn’t feel cheap.
Having used the expensive alternative of the Nacon pro controllers I would use this happily. It’s got a solid feel, it’s great value for money and better than the standard Ps4 controller. The only draw back being that you need to plug in the usb to the console instead of Bluetooth straight to the system but a small issue.

Erster Eindruck: Top

AUSonline are the best!
I can't recommend AUSonline enough. Great service and Nacon controller arrived so quickly. Great controller for PS4 if you like the Xbox style and layout. Feels good in hand and looks like a quality product.

Tres bonne manette!!!!
