If you're looking for enough body to stand up on its own and last for many years this'll do it
This is some really thick sturdy elastic. If you're looking For something that could lift a sofa off the ground without stretching past its limit this might actually do it. It's definitely more than you would need for a normal garment but if you're looking for super strength or something that has stiffness in body this certainly does. I was using it to make a o-roll Upper cuff thigh high compression stockings and it does the job.

Great elastic! Used it to sew diagonally on the underside of the corners of my fitted sheets to keep the corners from popping off the mattress. Works great! durable and washes well.

Very useful!
I had a very nice pair of work pants that are a tad too loose. And they have no belt loops! So, wanting to save the super cute pants, I watched a video on putting some elastic in the back , inside the top band, to make them for. 1’ is the perfect width for this project, and it was delivered the next day!!!! That NEVER happens. I have prime, and that surprised me. But, back to the product: good quality, good amount, good price for my needs. I hope this helps you with your purchasing decisions.
