I wrote a 5-star review yesterday after receiving this neck pillow. It hasn't posted yet, but I'm going to amend my review after wearing this neck pillow yesterday. First, I'll just say that I wish I could give it more than 5-stars. This neck pillow is more of a neck brace and for someone like me who has arthritis in the neck, it's more than just a pillow to use for a long plane flight. I bought it for an upcoming 10-hour flight from NY to Athens, Greece. I had purchased another neck pillow from Amazon and returned it, it didn't give great support, was bulky and the covering over it was too 'fuzzy' and made me hot. I returned that one. This has a cover that's smooth and comfortable and zips off for washing. Very practical. Just look at the design and how the sides are upright, not rounded like most common neck pillows. It makes sense that if the sides are vertical, it will keep your head vertical and not leaning to one side or forwards. I bought the model with the slide-clip front in front, rather than the model with two strings that tie. The strap is stretchy and each side easily clips together. The strap can be adjusted for length. I prefer it snug, the two sides almost touch when closed, but that's a personal preference. The memory foam is firm enough to keep your head upright, but soft enough to be very comfortable and easy enough to roll up tight and put it in the little drawstring pouch it came with. The eye shades and ear plugs are a nice extra bonus, but the star is the pillow itself. I have hardly taken it off since I got it. The pain in my neck just instantly dissolved. I'm on my laptop a lot, which adds to my neck strain. Wearing this neck 'pillow' which is more of a comfortable neck brace, just totally removes any neck pain or strain. I always do my 'due diligence' before purchasing anything on Amazon, the reviews are helpful. I hope my review helps someone decide to buy this neck pillow. It's just the best find I've had on Amazon this year. I'm grateful to the designer and manufacturer for putting out a quality product that's portable, comfortable, economical and actually does what it's meant to do.

This neck pillow is very comfortable. It is compact when in the convenient carry bag, plus it has extras like earplugs and an eye mask. I have ongoing neck issues and am a side sleeper so I find sleeping in an upright position difficult. I have tried several neck pillows in the past-none of them compare to the support this one provides. Although I do wish I would be able to winch it a little tighter under my chin. I have tested it out on a few shorter road trips and it has done an excellent job of supporting my neck and head. I am confident it will do a great job on my upcoming 7 hour flight.

This is my first time every purchasing and using a travel/neck pillow and the best thing I can say is I should have bought one a LONG time ago. All these years of travel, I don't know how I managed without one. I've seen people use them but never thought they provided much help. I've always thought they were more gimmicky than anything. That is, until I tried it. Many is the time I will doze off on a flight only to awaken as my head bobs to one side or the other. I startle myself and then doze off again and repeat this throughout the flight only to arrive at my destination even more tired/exhausted. I decided to finally give it a try and of course, my decision was based on other people who have used this particular neck pillow and now I see why. It comes a bit compressed in it's own little carrying bag which I really appreciate. I guess the thought of carrying around a neck pillow just always seemed so awkward but this one compresses into a nice ball and fits neatly into a little bag. But that also made me think if it compresses so easily, how supportive can it be. Well, I took it out of the bag and within seconds it unfolds into shape. The first time I used it was amazing! I say amazing because I fell asleep and never once did my head bob. I slept soundly and only woke when it was time to get ready for landing. I don't think I moved an inch the whole time. And when it was time to get up, my neck wasn't sore and didn't feel like I slept in the wrong position or anything like that. I'm still amazed out how comfortable it is and how well it keep my head in position so I could sleep. You can remove the outer case in case you want to wash it and the bag comes with blinders for your eyes and ear plugs. If you ever take a flight, this is a must have! I cannot believe I've flown all these years without one. I'm giving these out this year as a Christmas gift!

It will certainly support your neck, functiond as it should, I love how the drawstring holds it in place, I slept amazing and I love hoe squishy it is allowed me to smash it found and put it away before and after flight. Definitely let it air out a day or so before your flight but it will shove perfectly in the little bag it comes with to fit into your carry on. I had a 6.5 hour flight and I felt cozy

I had a couple of these over the years that felt nice but just didn't have substance to them. This pillow feels like dense memory foam that soft and slowly compresses and cradles your head softly but securely. Other pillows have always sunk instead of supporting the head and leave you with a kink in your neck. Having this before flying 27k+ miles in less than a week was a lifesaver, especially doing a 17.5hr flight starting it off. This allowed me to rest comfortably watching movies as well as actually sleep comfortably. The smell some complain about are either old reviews or extremely sensitive people and I'll explain why. Upon receiving the pillow it was in a vented bag instead of a box which even included instructions along with an explanation that they switched packaging to let the product air out. It had a mild chemical smell to it but not strong like vehicle floor liners I've got off here for example. Simply leaving it out for a couple days aired it out and it was ready to go. The eye mask was handy when the plane was lit and I used my own ear plugs with noise canceling instead of the foam ones provided. Washing the cover after the trip and putting it back on was simple.

Product itself: clean, nice removable cover, good color, great with carrying case so it folds down small, nice quality eye mask. Now, is this the best travel pillow design you’ll ever own? Maybe, maybe not. The fact is, there’s no such thing as a magical universal product that works for everyone. We have to start with the fact that every person has a different size and length neck. Every person is a different height, so where the pillow hits on an airplane backrest will be slightly different. People’s heads weigh different amounts. Next there’s the fact that people want different things from a travel pillow. Some want a lot of support like a medical c-collar, some want flexibility for their head to lie in different positions. Some people have issues with their head bobbing forward when they sleep, others want more support behind the head instead. Point is: there’s no such thing as a perfect design that works for everyone. My perspective; 170lb 6’ male. This is a good to great pillow. I’ve only used it for one round trip 9-11 hour flight but so far I’m happy with the ergonomics. It provides support but I could still lean my head to one side or the other. No head bobbing forward issues. The memory foam is supportive but easily compressible, much more so than the regular foam pillows I’ve used in the past. With air pillows the support is never just right; either too much air or not enough and it just never feels good. I like that it’s smaller in the back vs. other designs; I hate feeling like a travel pillow is pushing my head forward. The cutouts on the back and sides allow my head to sleep left, right, or lean straight back without feeling like my head is unnaturally being pushed in any direction. It’s comfortable to wear even when I’m not trying to sleep. Overall, I find it about as comfortable as any travel pillow can possibly be (I.e. trying to sleep upright on a plane which is 0% ideal to begin with). I feel like there’s probably some crazy magical design out there that would be even better, but I’ve never owned that pillow. So for now, this pillow is super comfortable to wear and meets my needs so this is what I’m going to use going forward. It’s not quite the best thing since sliced bread, but it’s the best travel pillow I’ve ever bought and that’s as good as it gets right now.

Great and comfortable. It could be challenging to place it in the bag for some but it is very compact for storage.
