A well built microscope stand
This device is built good , but for our use with a microscope , itโs just ok . If you need a flexible mount , this microscope stand is well built. I prefer the stand that is more vertical, straight up and down

Would be again.

Great buy!
We bought this for our 9-year old grandson who loves science and wanted a microscope and stand. This is the stand we boughtfor him and he really likes it.

Works for similiar USB microscopes as well...
I bought one of the cheapie (not Dyno-Lite) but it came with a crappy very small stand that would tip over if you looked at it, so I got this, which was about the cheapest I could find that was extremely adjustable. I use this stand to hold the microscope near my turntable for stylus angle adjustment, and I find that I can twist and bend the gooseneck to right where I want it. The only issue is that the cutouts on the round clamp (the other clamp is useless to me) don't align with the adjustments on the camera, so I have to spin the microscope in the clamp and then adjust the focus, and then reinsert it and twist it so the image shows right side up again (something I didn't think about before I got one of these cameras). The base is kinda heavy enough but you can't expect to stretch the gooseneck out really far without it tipping over, but it does pretty well. I would suggest that you not cheap out and get a microscope a little more expensive than the $22 one, and with the Dyno-Lites only the expensive ones come with software, if you were expecting that.

I enjoy working with the DINO light and this helps me to keep it in place.

This articulating stand is not easy to focus with a Dino Lite microscope mounted if you intend to do high magnification. If it has a build in fine-tune mechanism in the microscope holder, I might have kept it. However, the arm is not ridge enough and flex a lot during use. This also make it difficult to use. Since it couldn't do focus well for my need, I had to go with the more expensive stand which MS36B is a much better stand for a cost.

Looks nice, But it's a bit unstable.
I like the swinging arm to position the scope. I have to use a clamp to hold the stand steady. The stand by itself is fine. It's just not very stable if you want to use it to hold the microscope while you're using it. It feels like it's a quality piece of kit, it just doesn't work as well as I had hoped without the use of a clamp.
