We have been using some new 'self adhesive' car window shields from last year and are generally pleased with how easy to put those up, compared with the old ones where you would need suction cups. But we found that the self adhesive ones for the front windshield do not work as well as for the side windows as they tend to drop off. This sun shade is cleverly designed as it consists of two circular shades linked by more shading fabric in the middle that provides the flexibility in terms of fitting different sized cars. The metal wires on the edge of the circular shades can be easily pushed to fit into the edges of the windshield so the sun shade is very steady. The frilly edges all around provide extra cover so the while windshield is effectively covered. Storage is easy, by twisting the overlapped circles into a much smaller circle, which fit into the provided pouch. We have used it for three weeks. And it has been very effective during the recent heatwave. Very competitively priced.

I chose the word fiddly as my original thought wouldn't have been allowed. The item is very effective and a perfect size for my Mondeo estate but I remember the first time I tried to fold it back up to return it to the tiny pouch. I watched the video clip and followed the instructions, I tried a dozen times as did my daughter to no avail. Very frustrating. I finally managed it couple of weeks later but haven't dared take it out since. Although we haven't had any sun since 😂

The reviews were a bit mixed so I thought I'd give it a go - it's easy to use and you can adjust it to fit by just overlapping the rings in the middle. Stays put, blocks the sun and no more sucker cup marks on the glass. Once you get the hang of the folding it back up you can do it easily (although I find it helps not to think about it too much!) but essentially it's exactly the same principle as those "instant" pop-up tents.

Seemed to block the sunout, didn't reduce hear but just wnated to stop having hot leather seats and stereing wheel. The issues are for a standard astra the 2 circles don't go flat on the window, you have to manipulate the middle to have a slight gap so the sides stay in. The visors helped and if tucked priperly it stayed up. 2nd issue is that it is very stiff to fold back up, when just myself in the car i didnt bother folding it up as it was too tricky but after the 4th time of beeding to fold it up with other people in the car it broke. One of the metal bits has come out and now doesn't hold in the window, it needs a bin. Not salvaging it. Shame. And now it is passed my return date not that i would be able.to fold it small enough to post back anyway!

Needed a deeper one of these (I already have a few of the smaller ones from Amazon Basics) as my old Vectra has a deep-ish windscreen. Just like the other ones - the best type of windscreen sunshades I've ever had - much better than the old concertina cardboard ones (note: these were infinitely better than nothing). Keeps the inside of the car remarkably cool. It takes three or four 'first attempts' to work out how to fold them up after use, but once you've got the hang of it it's plain sailing. So good I've now bought these for family and friends.

All sunshades work on the same simple principle of using silver foil to reflect sunlight, so there will not be much difference in effectiveness among them. I like this one because it can be folded away for compact storage. You wont be able to learn the technique by watching the video as it happens too quickly. The trick is to twist the frame away from you as per instructions on the sellers site. This shade should fit just about any car as there is quite a bit of adjustment possible.

It consists of two large steel circles encased inside two sheets of polyester ( black on one side, silver in the fronts) and a valance - it makes it hard and fiddly to place, it springs out from behind the visors, not wide enough fir my Honda CRV. It’s even harder to take down and store away as the circles ones rolled up sori g up again. It takes much longer to install and take down & store than the rolling or the folding type. Expensive for what they do. Don’t recommend. There’s no suction whatsoever as the circles are supposed to be kept in place by the visor. Might be ok for smaller car where the circles overlap. 1.6m includes c. 10cm of floppy valance on each side making it smaller than my windscreen.

Brillant easy to use, done a great job
