I purchased sone true tenper shovels for a class and was inpress by how they stood up to student abuse. I decided to try one for personal use and, thus far, it has not dissapointed me. Makes quick work of roots 2/3" and smaller. Larger roots will cause issues, but you can grind down the edge if you need a root assassin. Ergonomics are solid for all deep shoveling actions. I should note that these are earily similar in build quality and design to "crastman" brand.

This is now my favorite shovel for digging holes, when I need to dig holes.

This tool is good for it's job.
