Exactly what it aims for
I bought this together with Leviton 84020-40 1-Gang Locking 1.60 Inch Dia. Device Receptacle Wallplate, Standard Size, Device Mount, Stainless Steel and Carlon B121ADJ Outlet Box, New Work, 1 Gang, 3-3/4-Inch Length by 3-7/8-Inch Width by 3-3/8-Inch Depth, Blue, 24-Pack (which is in fact a 1-pack) and they work fine together. Punch hole through the back of the box, run 12/2 wire (2 phases plus ground) in, strip ends, screw down to socket, use screws included with socket to attach socket to box, use screws included with faceplate to attach faceplate to socket. Easy as pie.

I like that it is exactly what I wanted. I used it on a circuit to power my tablesaw.

I have purchased 6 of this Leviton so far, as well as the Hubbell (more expensive) and a the AC Works (less expensive) version of the same L6-20R. I prefer this one, the Leviton. The screw terminals are solid and capture the 12 gauge wire very well. I will buy this one again.
