My dog LOVES this. We use it with his small bites kibble and it comes out of the hole easily. The base is heavy so it doesn’t tip over.

My 20-lb mixed breed dog is really enjoying this, and she's only played it about five times. She's figured it out what she needs to do to get the food out, so now I'm making it harder. I've put the three-hole top on it, which makes it a little harder for food to drop out. I put some of her daily rations (kibble) in the tubes, which falls out really easy. Then I add in some other treats that are a little bigger so they take more work to get out. For example, I rip up pieces of the soft Canidae Tidbits... I can rip them into various size pieces to make it easier or harder for them to fall out. I noticed some other reviews say food falls out too easily. That's not a fault of the toy... it's up to the human to select a treat that's geared towards the dog's level. Load the toy with small treats that fall out easily for a do who is learning how to use the toy. Load the toy with bigger treats for a more advanced dog, as those will take more work to get out. Secondly, it would be really easy to make the holes even smaller if you want to use small treats or small dog kibble. A bit of cardboard and duct tape would make the holes smaller in about 20 seconds... now experience necessary. Overall, this is a fun Level 1 toy. :)

My item looks like it was previously used. There’s little bite marks and dirt on the toy. The instructions weren’t useful but it’s simple to put together. My dog likes the treats of course and it kept her entertained for 5 mins so it’ll work for now.

My cats love to spin the windmill and earn treats. I did have to modify the holes a bit to fit my kitty's favorite treat size. The windmill came with two different caps you could use for larger or smaller treats -- but a medium option would have been even better (I added a little duct tape to the large cap to makes the holes a bit smaller and this worked great).

Took my cat a month to use it, but now he loves it. He is super smart, sure he figured it out before I got it from the box, just being a cat.

Honestly, this toy sucks lol. It's so cheap and flimsy. It always falls apart, whether it's the green legs that detach from the bottom plate, or the metal screw that comes off the back after you spin the windmill too many times. My dog also didn't care for it when I first introduced it to her. I think she didn't really understand the concept of it so I had to kind of guide her on how it works. I have a few other treat toys for her that she liked much better so I rarely ever used this one. I've had this toy for a few years now but finally just chucked it in the trash today. But it's literal trash so, don't buy it. I don't recommend it at all.

The TRIXIE Windmill Strategy Game is an excellent beginner-level puzzle that really keeps my dog entertained and mentally stimulated. It’s easy enough for beginners, but still challenges my pup to think and work for the treats. I love how it encourages interactive play and helps with enrichment—perfect for rainy days or when I need to keep my dog busy. The design is sturdy and easy to clean, and the treat compartments are just the right size. It’s been a fun addition to our toy collection and definitely helps reduce boredom and destructive behavior. Was easy to assemble but the holes for the treats is huge!! So all the treats fall out immediately. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Mein kleiner Prinz ist ein Kostverächter und spielt mit seinem Futter, Oft möchte er auch das ich ihm sein Futter zuwerfe oder verstecke etc.) Das ist auf Dauer recht müßig und es musste was anderes her. Ein Futterball vor sich herrollen hat ihn sehr schnell gelangweilt, genau wie rotierende Scheibe die als "Intelligenzspielzeug "deklariert werden. Nun habe ich die Mühle entdeckt, war sehr skeptisch und bin jetzt begeistert! Das Spielzeug ist fix zusammengebaut und einsatzbereit. Auch ich habe festgestellt, dass es nicht sehr standfest ist, obwohl mein Bolonka nur 4,5 Kilo wiegt, kippt es. Ich habe es mit einem schweren Türstopper fixiert und das klappt wunderbar. Seht selbst wieviel Spaß es ihm macht. Man sieht deutlich, wie er während der Beschäftigung lernt wie er es am handhaben muss, sodass etwas dabei heraus kommt...
