Canbus only works when you power the lights on.

I bought them for a 2012 bmw x5. They still throw a code for the fog lights which I am using them in until you turn them on. If I start my car it withough turning them on it will say i have both front right and left fog lights malfunction. Once I turn them on it clears the code. Other than that they are bright and work awesome. I just hope they last a while.
