As a seasoned traveler at 53 years old, I value a good night's sleep more than ever. The Trekology UL80 Camping Mat has become my go-to companion for camping adventures, offering a level of comfort that's simply unmatched. Let me share my experience with you. Comfort First: Gone are the days when I'd settle for anything less than a cozy bed. The Trekology UL80 Camping Mat has been a revelation. Its cushioned design cradles my body, alleviating those pesky pressure points that tend to keep me tossing and turning on lesser mats. I'm delighted to report that I now wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day, even after sleeping under the stars. Easy Inflation: At 53, I prefer convenience without compromising quality. Inflating the Trekology UL80 is an absolute breeze. No more huffing and puffing or wrestling with complicated valves. A few breaths and the mat is ready to provide a comfortable cushion between me and the ground. Deflating and packing it up is equally straightforward, making my camping routine much more enjoyable. Support and Stability: One of my concerns when camping was always the uneven ground. But with the Trekology UL80, that's a thing of the past. The mat provides excellent support and stability, ensuring I don't wake up with a stiff back or any unexpected discomfort. The nights of restless sleep due to uneven terrain are over! Space-Saving Design: As a mature traveler, I appreciate gear that doesn't take up unnecessary space. The Trekology UL80 rolls up into a compact package, leaving plenty of room for other essentials in my backpack. It's a fantastic space-saving solution for those who value both comfort and efficiency. Versatile Use: While designed for camping, I've found the Trekology UL80 to be versatile beyond measure. It's perfect for not only camping trips but also for overnight stays with friends or family. It's even become my go-to for impromptu picnics and outdoor concerts, adding an extra layer of comfort to every outing. Durable Quality: This camping mat has proven its durability over time. It has withstood various terrains, weather conditions, and even the occasional pet encounter without any signs of wear. The investment in the Trekology UL80 feels like a wise one, knowing it's built to last. In Conclusion: As someone who has seen a fair share of camping mats over the years, I can confidently say that the Trekology UL80 is in a league of its own. Its exceptional comfort, easy inflation, support, and durability have transformed my camping experience. Whether you're in your 50s like me or simply seeking the ultimate sleeping solution for your outdoor adventures, this mat is an excellent choice. It's a testament to comfort and quality, reminding us that a good night's sleep is a treasure at any age. Happy camping!

Fantastic lightweight, comfortable sleeping mat for a heavy man.
The photographs show one of my chosen campsites above a Lake District pass, at around 500m elevation in September. I thought it better to actually use this pad before reviewing it, plenty of things are comfy when tested on a carpeted bedroom floor. Inflation - I bought and wholeheartedly recommend the additional inflation drybag from Trekology. Using this it takes about three minutes to inflate the mat whilst inside the tent (my tent is big enough for me to do this in comfort, if your tent is a little more cramped it shouldn't take longer outside but you might not be as dry). The inflation bag is incredibly easy to use, stops condensation gunking up the mat's innards and clips nicely in to the one way inflation valve. I've found that when the bag pops off the valve then the mat is correctly inflated for my weight and preference. Comfort - once inflated it has remained that way, without issue or exception. No waking up on the cold, hard ground for me. It doesn't bottom out whether I lie on my back or side (I've found lots of mats bottom out on my hips when lying on my side, not this one). It is genuinely comfortable too. Now, let's not get silly - we're not talking king-size waterbed levels of squish here, but I have certainly slept on less comfortable actual hotel beds. More important than how easy it is to fall asleep on this thing is how you wake up. I've had no aches or pains, no cold spots, no frozen shoulders from sleeping on it, I've woken up fresh and ready to sling it and everything else on my back for another day. That really is the gold standard for backpack camping. Shape - hard to be scientific about it but I think the raised edges work. The material is a bit slippery but I haven't slid off the sides yet. Size - I'm 6'3” and just shy of 17 stone, think second row forward and built to shift heavy objects, not exactly svelte but fit enough to yomp over mountains. I fit on this thing, top to toe, shoulder to shoulder, and without any of the bits in-between being on the floor. There are more than a few other mats that I wouldn't have bothered trying, at my size if it's only an inch and a half thickness of air before I get on then it stands no chance. This mat just works nicely. Noise - it isn't crinkly when you're on it and it hasn't woken me up when I've moved on it. No, it isn't silent, is anything in your tent silent? If I stay completely still I swear I can hear the grass growing whilst I'm in mine, this mat doesn't spoil that or make any strange or annoying noises either. Weight - it weighs what they claim. Wrapped up with the inflation bag it's a touch over 600g, frankly ridiculous for the price. Yes, there are lighter mats out there, but they cost a lot more and I'm not sure they'd be any more comfortable. I don't own a Thermarest so don't take that as gospel but I think this thing is an absolute sweet spot for price and comfort, bargain territory. Pack size - packs down small, quickly and easily. The two stage valve makes deflating it a doddle. Much smaller than my previous self inflating sleeping pad, much lighter too. R-Value - no idea. Does anyone really know? I know I haven't gotten cold on it yet, and that's the only real world test I use. I wouldn't recommend taking this out on a glacier but for my three season tent this feels like an entirely adequate three season mat. Durability - I haven't killed it yet. As an entirely air filled pad any pinhole will do for it, so be careful what you track into your tent. It came with a patch kit, I've not needed it to say whether it works. What I'd improve - it can be slippery. My tent has a sil-nylon floor, and my bag is the usual ripstop nylon fare. It's a bit easy to find yourself sliding down the mat in the night if your pitch isn't totally level. I camp where I like, but where I like usually involves gradients, finding a totally level pitch isn't realistic most of the time. The addition of some rubberised print on the top and bottom of the mat might add a few grammes but I think it would be worth it. I'm going to try some sections of non-slip drawer liner next time I go out, light and easily packed, hopefully can be used under or on top of the mat. Other than that teeny suggestion, can't fault the thing. I strongly recommend this product.

Comfy scale 10/10
Purchased this sleeping pad two days ago. It arrived the next day and that evening I put the tent up and slept on it that night. Firstly let me say how brilliantly comfortable this pad is. It's depth meant that no part of my body was touching the ground. No bottoming out here I can assure you. I normally like to sleep on my side. But tried it laying on my back too. Both were very comfortable on this pad which is a first for me. I didn't hear much noise or crinkle and felt no cold from the floor either.... Though to be fair it was quite a warm night anyway. In the past 24 hours I've had this pad now I can only mark it down for two reasons. Firstly... It doesn't come with a pump sack. So unless you have one with the same fitting valve. Then your going to be blowing this up from your mouth which isn't ideal. Update: I did find a pumosack for this bed but it's quite expensive compared to this bed. Checkout the Exped Schnozzel. Secondly its quite narrow. So if you do lay on your back then your arms will be in the floor and not the pad. Though I did just zip the sleeping back up to the top. Slide my hands down so that the sleeping bag kept my arms aloft and off the ground. But it was quite a warm night. The sleeping bag wasn't really nessesary. So I slept on my side again. So yeah negative points are that's it is a little narrow and no pump sack... Which if one was included I'd have happily paid more for. On the plus points..... This is without question the most comfortable sleeping pads I have ever tried. It is incredibly comfortable. Hardly makes any noise and is worth it just for that. Yes I would buy another one despite the two negative points I mentioned earlier... The quality of sleep I got from this was worth it. It also packs down really small and the bag it comes in doesn't mean you have to squeeze every molecul of air out of it to get it in its bag. It also comes with an elasticated band to keep it compact too. Which isn't always the case with products like this. Overall I'm very happy with this product. Update: I've now spent more nights on this pad and using the Exped Schnozzel pump sack to inflate it is almost effortless. I still say that it's one of the best pads I have ever used and I prefer it to my other camping beds. This pad is worth it because finding one that is small, lightweight and comfortable is a gem. We have booked a family camping trip and whilst everyone else is using huge, possibly over sized camping beds. I will be using this. It just works and yes despite its lack of width is the most comfortable bed/pad I've tried. Just don't inflate it too much or you won't feel the benefits and will feel like you've slept on the bare floor anyway.

Comfortable & really compact sleeping mat that’s easy to inflate & fully deflate in no time
Great sleeping pad, very compact & lightweight so easy to bring on any camping trip. I don’t bring a pump or have one of those inflating bags so when I first tried blowing it up it seemed to be taking a while but then all of a sudden it was fully inflated & it had taken less than a minute. The valve is one of the best things about it, opens one way to inflate & another to deflate, makes it easy to inflate & even easier to deflate. It fits most standard pumps & inflating bags but as I say don’t think you need it. I prefer this larger rectangle shape too for comfort & the slight curve does help with any rolling. I’ve used this plenty of times now & never had any issues with it deflating over night. I see some reviews mentioning it being noisy when you’re moving about on it. Personally I’ve never really noticed it, maybe it does make a little bit but gotta remember you’re sleeping in a tent on the ground not in a luxury bed in the Ritz. So I’ve found it really comfy, easy to inflate/deflate so compact for backpacking/camping Last thing also got a trekology Aluft pillow which is again very compact (fit easily in yur pocket), easy to Inflate/deflate & has a strap & anti slip material to attach to the sleep mat

Best piece of kit I bought for wild camping.
I purchased this sleeping mat after seeing it recommended on a wild camping video on you tube. The video was of a wild camper’s kit that was lightweight and affordable. As I was buying all my kit in one go I was a little dubious as to whether the price was justifiable. Let me tell you, it is!!! This mat is seriously lightweight. It’s not self inflating but goes up relatively quickly with about 10 big breathes and goes down and deflates quite easily too. The best part Though is the comfort. As the video I watched stated this is about 4 inches off the floor so when you lie on it you’re raised from the ground. Turn side on and it’s still the same. Place a inflatable pillow underneath this and you’ll have a great nights sleep. I saw that some comments had said that it can be noisy when you move in the night. I didn’t notice any disruptive noise when on the mat. All in all this was the best piece of kit I got for my wild camping. Even when I went to a major store to find a cheaper alternative the assistant said I would find one under this price. Really, really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

Great!
Great mat, used it for a while now. Comfortable to sleep on and you don’t feel the ground. Keeps you stable on it as it’s slightly curved on the sides. I’m 190 cm and fit perfectly on it.

Updated review
Update** I’m downgrading this item from 5 stars to 1 star. I had such high hopes for this mattress, I left it a stellar review - see below. Other reviewers complained that their mattress didn’t stay up, so I thought I was being cunning by blowing it up in advance and leaving it in the spare room for a couple of days to make sure it didn’t have any leaks. This test worked, or so I thought. I’ve just returned from a 2 night camping trip where on both nights I went to sleep on a fully blown mattress and woke up on the floor as it had deflated slowly over the course of a couple of hours. This meant I had to blow up the mattress, which is quite a loud process in the middle of the night, only to get a couple more hours sleep to be woken up again on the floor. I read the instructions prior to using and took care not to over fill it. I even convinced my friends to buy them, one didn’t have an issue and my other friend had a similar issue to me. I’ll be contacting Trekology to let them know and I’ll update you on my experience with customer service. Update 2: Amazon took the item back without any hassle at all for a full refund. On reflection, there’s a reason why this mattress is a fraction of the price of others. Whilst I like the trekology brand, ultimately it’s still a cheap brand and on this occasion it let me down. Sleep is SO important, I won’t be buying replacement item from trekology, I’ll upgrade to a more premium product. Review prior to actually using it: What value for money !! I have no experience of air beds really, but this really is great. The quality is great, it’s comfortable, it packs down really small and it lightweight. When I bought it I blew it up and left it for 48 hours just to make sure that it holds air, which it did. If you don’t buy this you’re crazy. It’s so good, my other friends bought it too.

Decent pad, but issues with deflating in the night
I've used this mat 6 times now and to be fair it is very comfortable (I am able to side sleep on it), and the fact that it packs away so small is a big help when packing for wild camping. However, the last couple of times I have used it I have had to give it about 4 or 5 breaths during the night to re-inflate back to a comfortable level. I use a pump to inflate it in the first instance, so condensation in the pad shouldn't be a factor here. I wouldn't buy it again, but think it is still a decent enough purchase if you are just getting started with wild camping.

Just Buy It
We recently went on a backpacking trip and I purchased this to cushion me while camping. My back isn't as great as it was in my teens and I am also a side sleeper. I had a list of requirements I didn't think could be met at this price tag but based on some reviews in a backpacking group I decided to give it a go. My requirements: Small Lightweight Easy Inflation and Stays Inflated Durable Good for Side sleepers This sleeping pad performed beyond what I would have expected. Ive tried other more expensive pads and this one outshines them all and at a fraction on the price tag. It kept me off the ground and well insulated, stayed inflated and was easy to set up and tear down. The bonus here is my husband is a large man. He is 6'7 and about 230lbs. He has resigned himself to sleeping on the ground as he has not found anything that fits his giant-ness. I tested the pad out on my living room floor before we left to make sure I wasn't going to wake up hurting the next day. My husband was there when I inflated and checked it out for the first time and was curious as to if it would hold him and be long enough. He was able to lay his full length on it and not hang over the edge! He gets disappointed a lot as he has a hard time finding products that work for him. His eyes lit up that he could lay out fully on the pad and not hang off the edge. He instantly had me order another for him. On our trip they performed beautifully. One note to make is to inflate, allow it to chill for a bit and then give it a few breaths before bed for max inflation. We slept well, felt well rested and comfortable for the whole 9 day trip. 3 others in our group are now buying this pad based off of my leap of faith and my father and brother ordered them for their 4 corners ride. Pros: Lightweight Easily packable down to the size of my hand Easily inflated Great for Side sleeper and giants alike Price point Cons: If you can call it one, an extra breath or 2 after initial inflation before bed.

Recomendadisimo!!
