Introducing Windows Server 2012 R2

SHOULD BE CALLED: What's NEW in Windows Server 2012 R2 since 2012... in that case, I would have given it a better rating. But THE BOTTOM LINE is that this book did NOT help me learn any subject from the ground up UNLESS the subject was new to this version. I did expect some marketing type feel to it, and that was true. But the "What's New" focus was the big disappointment.

I have not read it all yet but I tried setting up a Server 2012 R2 E ssentials and I did not like the goal oriented wizards. A menu selection would suffice. As if when your done your done. I hope foundation or standard would be more straight forward. Whatever version this manual is or where I downloaded it to I don't know either. I like good documentation and had to find the manuals on the shelf I liked like QUE & ?

Everything was as it should be.

I'm sure there is good content in here, I just don't prefer Kindle versions of books.

this windows server 2012 R2 essentials provides me what I need to run my new HP home server and I have not had any problems with it

Hard to pass up a good book.

It's a good book just not deep enough for my needs.
