Purchased as a disc lock for my motorcycle but it`s really a chain lock. I will keep it because I have a use for it.

It’s just another little deterrent, something to possibly slow the bike thieves down. After all, if they want it bad enough they’ll take it. This is a good solid little lock, I’m going to buy a second to put on the rear disc as well. The quality is great. Recommended.

The lock arrived in good time although it was no cheaper than buying it from Halfords (as of the time of writing)! It fits perfectly on my bike, locks the disc brake without issue. Now the problem.... The HD MAX apparently has a key replacement service and "when you buy your HD Max lock, simply note down the number which comes attached to the keys on a metal tag. Keep this in a safe place, then in the event that you are unfortunate enough to lose all your keys, it will be possible to get a new key made up for you". This lock I bought from Amazon unfortunately DID NOT have this metal tag or key replacement number. Therefore the replacement service does not apply to my lock! You actually get three keys with the lock so you have to be very careless to misplace all three but that isn't the point. It is sold having a key replacement service and the one I bought from Amazon doesn't!!!
