Everyone loves to have a clean house, but when your trying to make it sparkle and end up wasting a full day to get that shine it just doesn't feel worth it. Plus the fact that it ends up getting dirty in a few days or so. Now I know there are many other steam cleaners on the market, but when your spending alot less to get this one verse a Bissel or Hover and getting 9 attachments included, there isn't any reason to pass it up! After a few uses and all the many attachments, I found no problems or time consuming issues with this brand. This is a great little product! If you live in a lighthouse, it might handle all your needs, but I don't live in a light house. I live in a large home and have a pack of dogs. This little blue steamer is part of my overall arsenal of cleaning implements: the Hoover thing that scrubs the floor, about 3 or 4 micro fiber mops, two wet/dry vacs, one regular vac, the Vapamore,the Euroflex, and now this. The Vapamore takes a good long time to heat up at 7000 feet and sometimes I just don't want to fool with all that it is. This steamer is pressurized which for me means that it's ready to go quickly. (They are all pressurized to an extent, or they wouldn't be making steam. But I assume that this one has a bit more extra pressure in order to more quickly produce steam. With this, it appears that attitude is not an issue.) This fits into its cleaning niche beautifully. I can clean a few of the dog kennels, accidents on the carpet, a few spots on the floor and I absolutely love steaming the toilet! Steaming a bathroom is really the way to go. And I'm not going to get the Vapamore out for cleaning a toilet -- too time consuming, too bulky, cords to step over. Just not handy. My dogs drink from the toilet. I don't want them poisoned with some nasty blue cleaner and I'm not keen on sending that sort of thing into the bosom of Mother Earth. So I steam the heck out of the toilet & shower, and cabinets, and for the first time am not paranoid about whether the bathroom is really clean. It's convenient, so I can use this daily. Not gonna get the Vapamore out for daily cleanings. The little blue guy with the huge name does everything a little steamer should do.(Could be a kid's book.) No, it's not gallons of water huge, but hey, I have the Vapamore for that. This does what I want it to do and does it very, very well. Yup, this is it. Would like to have one in all 3 bathrooms and the kitchen. Just have them on stand by. I'd rather have one of these in each room instead of dragging the vapamore around. Great for the indifferent housekeeper in me. If it's not right there, handy, easy to use, and convenient, then I just won't mess with it. This keep me cleaning.

I got this today and ran around the house testing it on everything. First, it works for cleaning up countertops, walls, mirrors, and other easier to wipe items beautifully. My stove top looks awesome with very no scrubbing involved. You steam then wipe clean. Higher gloss paint is easier to clean with it (obviously), but flat paint cleaned up better than I expected. I've been unable to clean mine without scrubbing and taking off a layer of drywall... I plan to repaint but wanted to wash walls a bit first. This will do an okay job. It took several runs with steam cleaner to get it somewhat clean though. Can't blame the steam cleaner, this paint is awful to clean. I tried it on very dirty "white" microfiber-like fabric that I was stupid enough to reupholster our nursery rocking chair with. I've got two boys so it's gross. It did okay. Not perfect. I may need to try one of scrub brush ends too. Complaints: The cord is long-ish, but really needs to be longer to do a lot of cleaning. The cord won't reach my shower so I can steam the inside of the shower doors. I think this will clean the doors awesome but I'll need to get an extension cord. The plug is three pronged fyi for purchasing an extension cord. They give you one washable microfiber pad. Awesome. I love that it's reusable. But it'd be nice to have gotten a second. I'll probably try to make one. I also will probably make something to store/carry the parts in. I don't really want to keep the box. There are a LOT of parts which is good but I don't want to lose any. Overall I'm very happy with this. It's super small. It does a really good job on many many things. Couple safety tips- read the instructions... These are hot and blow hot steam. I am stupid and put my hand in front at one point. Didn't burn myself but not comfortable. When you go to refill, you need to unplug it first. You unscrew the top a couple turns and let the steam release until it stops. Then you can finish unscrewing and refill. It'll burn you if you aren't careful. Oh and you can't wash your windows with this if its 40*F or lower out- potential for window to crack.

I'm glad I purchased the DB-Tech steam cleaner and sanitizer, it works like a charm for the range of its intended uses. I steamed my living room rug then after the steam dried, I vacuumed it. It looks like new. I steamed my whole guest bathroom starting with tub/shower and sink, ending with toilet, wiped up bath/shower and sink with my damp bath towel and used paper towels on floor, baseboards, and toilet, and had a sparkling room in just a few minutes. When the water ran out and I refilled, it heated quickly (about 2-3 minutes) and I steamed two more area rugs, both with excellent results, as well as my living room sofa, then vacuumed. All looked better for the steam treatment. Seeing is believing. Nice little tool. The reservoir holds enough for about 15 minutes of steaming (I did not steam for 15 minutes continuously). I also steamed my kitchen stove top, loosened some sticky areas that would have taken much longer to remove using spray cleaner. Hit with steam, whisk off with paper towel. Shining and sanitized too. The long pointed nozzle makes it easy to get into small grimy spaces. I didn't use the flat steamer head; if there were a stick handle and trigger I would have used the flat head but the steamer did a great job where I wanted it to. Probably it's not the only type of steamer I need but it's a great fairly-inexpensive test for whether steam would work for me. I was sceptical but I'm satisfied that it's much cleaner than vacuuming and pushing dirt around with a mop. I wish this amazing little item came with a stick and trigger so that I could use it on my tile and wood floors but oh well -- it's great at what it's designed to do. I had to attach an extension cord of the correct type because the cord wouldn't reach all the areas in my living room, but again, for the price, it's a great tool. I'll be using it a lot. Like and recommend, but keep in mind that it's a small appliance not going to do your whole house easily or quickly.

Ugh, what a waste of money. This thing couldn't suck more if it were a vacuum. It's possible that I have a defective item but a cursory inspection of the overall craftmanship of this product suggests that it really is just a cheap piece of c**p. Rather than recount in a narrative style the hours of sweat and tears that have gone into trying to use this thing, I'll just bullet point what's wrong with it. 1) The screw-on, push down lid is absurdly difficult to deal with. I can never tell if it's actually closed or open (tip: most of the d**m time it's open, as evidenced by the steam and hot water that spits out after a few minutes). Imagine a Rx medicine safety cap. Now imagine it on steroids. Now imagine it hot, steamy and angry. That's about what this lid is like. 2) I tried to get fancy and attach the included hose accessory . This simple act ended up destroying the cheap plastic nozzle bit. The plastic ridges that you're supposed to line up and lock into place do not actually line up and (minimal) twisting and shoving warped them so badly that I can no longer get the hose to lock on. 3) The indicator light says that it's ready to use but pressing the nozzle results in a spray of hot water with minimal "steam". I learned that if I actually want steam I have to wait WELL past the indicated time. Even still, during steaming I continue to get sporadic drips and bursts of hot water which means that our couch is covered in little puddles. 4) As other people have commented, once you actually get it "steaming" (and I use that term loosely) it lasts about 5 minutes max. I don't know if this is the norm for handheld steam cleaners and if it is, fine. But to spend 20-30 minutes just prepping the d**n thing to use for 5 minutes of erratic sputtering "steam" is hardly worth it.

So, I nearly returned this when I first used it. It doesn't really hold much water, but the advertisement stated six ounces so I couldn't complain. The issues I had were 1) not very much pressure to clean things such as the "gunk" on oven doors and 2) it didn't seem to run very long with the pressure it did have. I actually requested to return it the next day and the company was fantastic with sending a UPS return shipping label. HOWEVER, I decided to give it another chance before boxing it up and sending it back. What I discovered was that you need to allow this steamer to build the pressure back up after using continuously for about 5 min. If you don't, then what you get is a hot mist rather than actual steam cleaning. However if you do allow for pressure to rebuild, it will give you another five minutes of nice steam. While certainly not perfect, I decided to go ahead and keep it for use in my kitchen and bathrooms. Important info: do not fill with more than the six ounces of water (using the provided cup and funnel). I found out the hard way, while trying to get longer use out of the steamer, that doing so results in an extremely HOT stream of boiling water under pressure. I repeat, do not put more than the six ounces of water! Fortunately I was not burned but it could have been a bad situation. As it was I ended up with a lot of scalding water all over my oven door and floor. All in all, this is an adequate light duty steamer. Probably best for sterilizing hard surfaces than actual pressure steam cleaning.

We have a Shark steamer, which, somehow, has gone missing. We purchased this in the interim, and if we never find the Shark again, so be it! My 15 yr old son opened this, was concerned about its small size, but, after READING THE DIRECTIONS, fired it up and went to town. The first test-squeegee attachment on dog nose print "decorated" window-BAM! DONE! Next, curio cabinet-BAM! DONE! Window on landing, with both dog AND cat "decorations"-BAM! DONE! Extremely large (3'x6') decorative mirror - BAM! DONE! But, running out of steam, so quick refill, and he WENT. TO.TOWN. AGAIN! Living room picture window. Two other living room windows. Located extension cord, went OUTSIDE to do OUTSIDES OF WINDOWS! Into kitchen-Stove "window," microwave inside and out, two small fridges we were donating - he was a man on a mission! So, I'd say that if this unit can inspire a 15 yo old LAD to go on a "Steaming spree," what higher praise is needed? He also thought it does a dynamite job on his dress pants and white shirts he wears to work at the local fine dining restaurant. PROS: Compact Many attachments Fairly long cord Long, flexible hose attachment Brass fittings Auto shut off when empty Light weight Rapid recovery after refill Can control steam Steam sanitizes without the use of chemicals CONS: Small tank-provides about 10 minutes of steam No storage bag provided-we purchased a plastic storage box at the "dollar" store. We previously owned one of those large steamers on wheels, basically a pressurized boiler, and, while the steam lasted far longer, it took about 15-20 minutes to heat up, and the same amount of time to "de-pressurize" before you could open and refill, then 15-20 minutes to re-heat. The "turnaround" time on this is much better, it isn't bulky, and in general, it's a joy to use. Remember-A 15 yr old LAD LOVES THIS TOOL... And my windows and mirrors have never looked better!

A new puppy meant new cleaning issues, so I thought I would try a steam cleaner. Oh my goodness, I am amazed at how one $30 steam cleaner made the 1960 bathrooms and kitchen of my condo look new. I never expected this, but this little dynamo made the grout sparkling after one attempt. So, I did the tile floor, the ceiling fans, the microwave, the refrigerator, the sinks, the toilets, the tubs, the dishwasher, the rugs. (Yes, you can use steam on carpet and upholstery). I did the windows and the shower tracks. I loved it so much that I decided to get a 1500 watt one (the SteamFast SF-275 SteamMax Steam Cleaner, which I am crazy about). The little one is 1050 watts and I keep it in the kitchen and use the big one in the rest of the house. The little one runs out of steam after about 7 -8 minutes; the big one lasts 45 minutes. I need 45 minutes of cleaning once a week and 7 minutes in the kitchen every day. If you think this is a luxury--no cleaners needed. You can throw away all those chemicals! And you can steam away bed bugs, strip wallpaper, steam car engines and tires, and steam the wrinkles out of your clothes! The only precautions: Don't accidentally spray yourself, your kids, or your pets and don't use steam on cat urine. It will "set" the urine; however, you can use it to clean dog urine. Be sure and fill it up water before using--2 1/2 times with the cup provided. Be certain and let it "rest" when the red light comes on. Do not try to screw the cap all the way down--read the instructions. Remember, this is not a heavy-duty steamer. It is perfect to keep in a big bathroom or a kitchen. It is not meant to keep a house sparkling. If you buy it for the job it was meant for, you will be thrilled. It does not have any parts that will burn you (unless you touch the steam). It is well-crafted. It does not dribble steam even when you shoot it upwards and blast the ceiling. When you are waiting for the red light to go off, wipe down the surfaces. Steam is a form of water---it will be a little messy. Buy a heavy-duty extension cord and your short cord problem is solved.

Purchased this for cleaning windows and in the corners of my sliding patio doors. It is amazing super easy to use and have also steamed cleaned my sweater.
