Easter Egg Coloring Decorating Kit (24 Karat Gold)

Where do I start? Okay, let's start with how the "dyeing" process works. You actually paint the eggs. This kit consists of a few small packets (picture a fast food ketchup packet with about 1/3 the usual amount of ketchup) of dye/paint (red, blue and yellow) along with one packet of gold. There is a small tray to squirt the paints into and two small, cheapo paint brushes. We painted a dozen eggs with this. One was painted solid gold.... well... that was the intention anyway. The gold paint was grainy and semi-transparent, so it left a blotchy, barely gold coating. I would think 4 or 5 coats might give you a somewhat gold egg. The other colors went on a little better, but they NEVER DRIED. A day and a half later, we handled the eggs and got dye all over our hands. Do not bother with this kit. It's less than worthless.

There is no way that eggs can be colored like the image on the front of the box. We were unable to make even two gold eggs. The product is like trying to mix oil and water and it does not work at all. After twelve coats of the gold, the eggs were still runny and pale, nothing at all like the product claims. It does not even deserve one star.
