I’ve graduated to this ‘pro’ picker after my cheap flimsy one broke on its 10th outing. This one is a superior picker for use clearing my neighbourhood. I have a friend who, after 35 years of council work sweeping streets, retired last week. It was he who taught me that the duty to maintain my standards and pride in where I live are my responsibility, not the council’s. Even if I think otherwise, the rubbish still needs moving. So, I clear my neighbourhood…for me, and I need the right tools for the job. This picker is excellent at the task it was designed for. Design ——— This picker is of the single moving digit type. That’s to say it isn’t a pincer. So, you can position the fixed digit by the item to pick up and, closing the trigger, draw the moving digit towards it to pick up. This simple design feature ensures you have a very precise and easy to use device. I like the trigger too as it’s easy to grip and operate. I should think if I had arthritis, this would be easy to use. Adjustability --------------- A great feature of this picker is that the gripper can be tightened by simply pulling the cord at the picker end. The cord is secured by a simple locking groove and ball. This design means that it is also possible to easily replace the cord, should it break. Length ———- It matters! I was using a 75cm picker which required me to bend or stoop every single time. I was returning home with back ache (I have arthritis in my lower back). This model is 85cm long and I can easily pick up very small items or full soft drink bottle with out stopping at all. Additionally, I now appreciate that a longer reach allows me to pick up litter as I'm walking towards it, making litter picking quicker to complete as I don't stop as much. Material ———— The material used in its construction is, whilst very sturdy, extremely light. The grip is generous and so comfortable in the hand. After a session of using it, I had no sores on my hand or aches in my fingers so this must be a good thing. Summary ————- A very light, long, and study picker which is very comfortable to use and doesn’t stress my back. It can easily pick up very small pieces of paper or 500ml full drink bottles. I love it…as much as one can love an instrument they bought out of their own money to do a job to compensate for the laziness and thoughtlessness of others, but that’s life.

I bought this as an aid after spinal surgery, I'm not allowed to bend. It's so good, light but sturdy. It's accurate, today I picked up a tiny Hermeseta sweetener! It's helped me to de-dandelion head the patio which is about the only gardening I can do, so it's satisfied that need to be doing something useful. 😃 Probably not th cheapest on the market but not a bank breaker either. Highly recommended

These are by far the best quality grabbers out there. I have tried various others but these are great. Strong and easy to use. I bought 4 pairs! Great value for money as they last Along time. Sleek design too.

Great value for money. Very sturdy with a good length. Only fault delivery not so great as the driver had not followed his instructions to the letter as packet was left outside in the pouring rain!! The packaging was sodden when I brought it in ! I will remember not to order item before Xmas week from now on.

I bought this to help me pick up leaves from both my driveway and garden, especially in those awkward, hard-to-reach spots — and it’s exceeded my expectations. The reach is excellent — I don’t need to bend over — and I was even able to safely remove a carrier bag that had snagged high on a tree branch. The tool is lightweight but feels sturdily made, and the handle is comfortable to grip. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone wanting an easy, effective way to tidy up outdoor spaces.

Having hurt my back and unable to bend (which seems to trigger a large number of things falling onto the floor!), I ordered this litter grabber. Arrived by next day delivery (at no extra cost). It is a gem. Lightweight and very effective at lifting things from floor level. In fact it is so much fun I am now like a cat, deliberately knocking things onto the floor for the joy of using this grabber! Although light it seems durable and is exceptional value for money.

Excellent quality. I use mine as a walking stick so needs to be sturdy. This one is perfect. Has a tight, rubber, shaped end and picks up the tiniest bits of paper. Good grip for heavier items. Absolutely recommend, A+.

Très bonne préhension de par la forme crochetée de la pince, plus efficace que les modèles ordinaires. Léger et très facile à manier, peut ramasser toutes sortes de choses, même les petits bouts de papier, sauf les objets un peu lourds. Parfait pour les personnes ne pouvant pas se pencher, et aussi pour attraper des objets hors de portée.
