The pictures and description here are all wrong, but at least the title is right! The description says it's for a Remington 1100 or 1187, but the instructions actually cover a number of Beretta (Xtrema and Xtrema 2,Urika and Urika 2, 391, 3901, A400 and A300) and Benelli (Super Black Eagle II, M2, Montefeltro, and Ultra Light) options as well. It also apparently is for the Remington 870. There's no on/off switch - it's a button. The mounting base is totally different - it has 7 "fingers" around the inside of the hole rather than one long pin sticking out. And overall it looks a little different. Fortunately, despite the incorrect pictures, I did actually receive the correct PRODUCT for an 1100. Installation takes a bit of fiddling. The base has 7 small metal "fingers" around the mounting hole (not the single pin sticking out the bottom shown here). You need to test-fit the mount on your stock to mark where the fingers line up, then use a Dremel or sharp Xacto knife to notch the stock to make room for them. This is inside the stock, so it's not visible from the outside, and makes for a rigid mount. It was a bit more work than I had hoped/thought from the description. The package also includes some foam and rubber self-adhesive pads that don't seem to be mentioned in the instructions, as well as two thicknesses of mounting base so you can get the height you want out of it. Also not shown in the pictures above is a plastic "cover" that snaps over the sight and helps keep dust/snow/rain off it. I like it better without the cover on, but it's nice that it's included.

This item will not fit on certain SBE2's depending on manufacture date. Hence, this item has been discontinued according to Burris tech support with no replacement model. Returned for refund.

Installed it on my Benelli M2 3 Gun edition. Using it for a few matches and went to sbooting trap for a few time. Went to crow hunt last week, one shot everytime! You should have it too!

I purchased the speed bead for my Benelli Supernova because it had iron sights and I could not see the front post that good at dawn and dusk when I was hunting for Whitetail deer. The product works as advertised and it has a nice red dot that one can see really well. For my purposes it is excellent I have not tried it out for wing shooting or anything like that but I don't see why it wouldn't work as advertised in that scenario as well. All in all it does what it says it will do and I would buy it again for another shotgun.

I do not know how well the Fastfire 3 works but the Speedbead will not fit the SBE II. The Mount comes with pins in it that are NOT SHOWN on the website or on the box it comes in. See picture. This will not fit between the stock and receiver. This site need to be modified as it is totally inaccurate. This is the response from Burris Support -- Comments from Burris Optics Support: Hello, Those are not meant to be removed. They are meant to go into between where the stock and receiver join. The problem is from year to year and even in the same production runs sometimes, the footprint between them is not the same. This is the main reason we discontinued them as it was impossible to keep up with. I recommend returning that mount to Amazon and getting a vent rib mount instead. We make one, or if you don't want to use ours Meadow Creek Mount makes them as well. DO NOT ORDER IF YOU WANT THIS FOR YOUR Super Black Eagle II 12Ga. If this has been discontinued then why is it advertised and still sold this way??????????

Warning. Unlike what forums say and oddly enough the manual this does not fit the a300 outlander version (manual says a300 but there are other variations to this model, so not specifically the outlander). When installed by a gunsmith and later retried by myself the sight is angled too high to the point the dot does not even come into view when sighting. This is true for the extremes of the height dial. The second foam pad was even added to the back. Some but not enough improvement. The sight was decent but I did not want to have to jimmy rig it to make it work, especially for the price. The reason I gave it three stars was the clarity of the dot. It was blurry along the edges like a halo effect, even in the different modes. I made sure the lens was clean on both sides and still the same result. Now I will say I have heard a lot of positive things from people I know about this unit. Sadly I could not be one of them. I hope this works better for y’all than it did for me. They are a great company and quick to give feedback when emailed.
